2 for Tuesday:

2X-- ST. LOUIS CARDINALS -140
St. Louis has been a very solid home team this season. They enter 25-14 YTD. They are also a very impressive 5-1 with a day off this season. Moreover, St. Louis is 14-9 against Cincinnati at St. Louis over the last 3 seasons. Expect the .300 hitting line-up to out slug the Reds in this one. Jimmy Haynes is 4-3 when starting against ST LOUIS with an ERA of 3.65 and a WHIP of 1.492. Anticipate Tomko to pitch well at home. The Cardinals should take this one at a fair price.

2X-- PITTSBURGH PIRATES +130
I would be very interested in knowing the origin of this game?s money line. I realize both teams have not been playing good baseball and I would venture that Montreal?s problems have been a tad bit worse of late. Add to the mix, Pittsburgh is sending Jeff D?Amico to the hill and I am really confused. Despite his mediocre 5-7 YTD mark, D?Amico has been a very solid starter all year for the Pirates. He is coming off of a fantastic outing which he went 6 strong innings and garnered a victory. Overall, D?Amico brings in a respectable 4.50 ERA YTD in 13 starts and 78 innings pitched. Moreover, D?Amico has had a stellar career vs. Montreal. To date, the right-hander is 3-0 lifetime with a 2.70 ERA in four starts. I expect to see typical numbers for D?Amico this afternoon. With the added value of a dog position and the solid lifetime numbers, I will back Pittsburgh in the day game today.

Good Luck.

On The Other Side
D'Amico is (1-2, 7.41 ERA) in his last 3 starts. Montreal has won 28 of last 45 against Pittsburgh at Olympic Stadium. The Expos are 25-13 at home this year. These are just a couple of reasons why Montreal is $1.40 favorite. Despite these numbers, we are playing Pittsburgh too. Good luck today!

That Expos home record is by "definition only" as Puerto Rico is also considered there home this year. D'Amico has pitched well against Montreal and I will gladly take the added value. Thanks for the feedback and Good luck.

I was also a little confused to why the moneyline is so high in this game since D'Amico has pitched so well against the Expos but did find some more interesting facts along with W&W numbers....

Pittsburgh is 3-9 in Game 2 of a series after a loss.
Montreal is 10-1 in Game 2 of a series after a win.
Ohka is 2 - 1 2.00ERA in 3 career starts against pitt

Its a tough call but i might take chance on Pitt and the added value

D'Amico did his job again against the Spos, but the support came too late. I need the Cards for the split.
