NY have clearly improved after the trade, but surely not enough to strt taking it to the big-boys out West. They are 1-3 SU v. the West since the trade and clearly have problems handling a dominant big man.
SA are 10-2 v. Atlantic div this season.
16-3 SU v. team under .500 (14-5 UNDER in those games, showing they strangle 'bad' teams with their D.)
NK are 5-12 in non-conf games, and 1-7 SU after allowing 85 or less.
SA are actually at their best defensively on no rest, allowing just 82.2 ppg!
They are also 19-9 SU away -> away, no rest as fav since 99.
Since 99;
When 2 teams play off upset losses, the fav on no rest is 18-5 SU.
64-36 SU away fav, no rest off upset loss.
29-19 SU if 4- fav.
19-5 SU if loss was as 4- fav. [SA] (5-0 this season.)
