I am only up a little over one unit on the year even though my record is not that bad. That is what happens when you do not play your picks for the same amounts.

I told myself that I am not going to go into a negative balance before the end of the year, so if I lose my play tonight I will take the next 3 weeks off.

Playing one today-

Over NYI/Ott 5 -130 130/100

I'm with Prospector on this one.

If your ability to peg winners is not on the decline, then there is no reason to lay out for three weeks, unless of course you just need to beat yourself up over not having a larger BR to show for your efforts.

If your ability to peg winners is not on the decline, challenge yourself to "Flat Bet" 2% for a while. No matter how good the team looks, the challenge will be to go no more and no less than 2%.

If your ability to peg winners is not on the decline, you will see what I'm talking about in ten days or so.

If you decide to take this route, I'm sure many of us would be very interested in your results. Should you not take this route, may your time off be as rewarding.

Funny you should mention that, Chenker. I have really been been treading water lately and after last night's 0-3 I am probably going to do the same. Likely through the end of the year.

With work, home stuff and the holidays I have not had the time to approach things the way I want and my plays have been evidence of this I think. At a minimum I probably won't post my plays on the forums for a while, as I don't think it is very responsible on my part if by some chance someone is using them and the info as a basis for their own wagers.

You guys know that I do have a relatively flat amount that I wager (never more than to win 1 unit, but sometimes less). It has taken a while to build up a decent profit, and it is disheartening that I lost 1/3 of that profit in the last week and a half. Sometimes a break is nice. I need to give it some more thought myself. Probably decide by tomorrow I would imagine. I am going downtown to enjoy a Caps win at the MCI Center tonight though! (hopefully).

Good luck everyone!

Wigs-

I actually already played the over and I am not going to buy it back so I will let it ride-

I also like the Caps tonight but I am not going to play them nor anything else-

These games have become very unpredictable of late so I would tread lightly.....

If it were not for the holidays I would add to my bank roll and keep it rolling but I will lay low until the first of the year.

good luck guys-
