Absolutely loving the Arizona line. . . how Arizona is a one point favorite after yesterday is beyond me but the books must be hunting for UCONN money. Arizona's defensive pressure will be enough to get them past this UConn team IMO. Gay will create problems but I expect Lute to throw in Fox merely as a way to limit Gay's effectiveness.

Arizona above average play. . . waiting for the line to go the other direction. Certainly it won't stay as Arizona -1.

Also like Arkansas over Kansas. . . Jayhawks lost after Arizona shot 31% for the game? Arkansas will bring nearly the same amount of defensive pressure that created problems for the Hawks early against Arizona.

Arkansas +2 above average over Kansas

with you...of course....the cats got plenty of bad shots out of their system last night....they will play much better offensively tonight (i hope) and i think we will beat uconn.....i look for hassan to have a monster game as usual when he is against a perceived "better player" in gay.

Yeah, Hassan and Chris should have a great game. A little concerned with Radenovich as he doesn't present much of a force still but maybe he'll change his tune tonight.

Cats looked like the #1 team in the country the first 5 minutes of the game! Then couldn't create any offense. Funny how this never was a problem in the past. Hassan has got to take charge of this team and realize that he must dish the ball when he's not having a good game.

Going back and forth on this game but leaning toward the cats. Remember J. Boone is a monster in the middle, I just think the cats have more balance and experience at this juncture.

Yeah, Cats have a point guard. . . I just don't believe UConn will be able to handle the defensive pressure because they barely survived against Arkansas

Adding Maryland -14.5 second half small. . . can't imagine them not stepping up the second half and winning by around 20.

boone will be tough to stop but like what i saw from walters last night...he and fox could neutralize them.....ivan is a liability vs athletic teams (like uconn, uw, etc...) so i think he will be a non factor and wont play more than 20 mins

think the guard play will push us over the top

also remember that the cats struggled early last year on offense (marquette, wake, mich, etc...) and had salim and channing so struggling now is not a surprise esp since we are missing our best outside shooter in jawaan

horrible game....team looks pretty rough on offense right now

somehow we have morphed into cincy with athletes and no concept of how to run an offense....good thing is i think lute will get it corrected

congrats to uconn backers....looked better most of the night

nickel what did u think of game ... I only watched 2nd half, just got home ... I took U and of course the scored about 30 in last 2:30 ... cbb needs to shorten clock at end of games to cease the fouling BS ... zona seemed in control then suddenly couldnt get anything going inside

Shakur has a nasty looking jumper

shakur has been a major disappointment....he came in as a top 5 recruit (2nd guard in his class behind some kid named lebron) but has thus far been the worst pg at arizona in the last 10 years.

his jump shot is still disgusting and he is weak with the ball......

the fresh didnt impress too much (in fact they've gotten destroyed each time they have been on the coury) but keep in mind we are missing jawaan mcclellan who will open things up when he is on the floor with hassan (he probably will be our best shooter)

First off, I love the defense even though Michigan State found success the first half. But they are horrible on offense. Not sure what the deal is and why they aren't playing as a team. If Zona can get their offense in gear, this will be one dangerous team because they have by far the best defense I've seen in Arizona.

I thought Lute made a great move pulling the full court defense in the 2nd half against UCOnn. . . just may have been a little late and credit the Huskies for nailing their shots the final six minutes of the game. Arizona is clearly looking for a go to player and not sure they have him yet. Hassan wants to be the guy but his pull up shot is average at best. Someone needs to feed him the ball on the go for him to be effective.

Zags, Huskies, and Spartans are top level teams right now. . . Arizona is just a step below but can easily be on the same level come March. They just need to learn how to play as a team with one another and find the go to guy since Frye and Stoudamire are gone.
