looking at the ovc tourney but have one right now from the horizon league tourney

Illinois Chicago -2

They lost both meetings vrs Youngstown St this year, and travel to Youngstown for the 1st round game. Penguins are on a 2 game skid, while the Flames are riding a 4 game win streak into the conf. tourney. Josh Mayo is the go to guy and he will get his points, but the others have to step up. Flames are 1-9 shooting under 40% so they need to shoot the ball well to win this game.

I strongly believe that its very hard for a team to beat an opponent 3 times in the same season, unless they are very mismatched. That is not the case here, and I think the 2 seniors on the Flames, there stars, Mayo and 7 footer VanderMeer, will provide leadership and fight to win this game. Those 2 seniors do not want to end their careers losing to the same team for the 3rd time.

Any data to back this up? I've always wondered how this old wive's tale got started. Certainly not true in the NFL, evidenced by Pittsburgh over Baltimore three times this past season. In fact, teams with a chance to win three times in the same season usually pull off the feat in the NFL:

Youngstown State won twice in the regular season and is now getting points at home. Why not take the Penguins on the ML?
