Baltimore +120

Cabrera has been rejuvenated with a great spring and a new style that has worked wonders. This will only help his case as he has been a Twin Killer in the past going 5-1 against the Twins. Bonser was a surprise last year but started off very slow in the early going, so much so he was actually sent down at one point. While I don't expect him to be called down I do look for a slow start. If the O's could hit Santana they should score plenty against Bonser.

Ed Rapuano is behind the plate for this game and here is a juicy little stat. When he has worked a game where the home team is favored -140 or less that team is 7-19 in the last two years.

Pittsburgh +155

After seeing the bullpen collapse yesterday of the Astros it would be tough to come back with them today. They need a deep outing from Jennings and I would be surprised if that happens. He is just 1-5 w/ ERA of 6.11 in his career against the Bucs and 0-3 with an ERA over 10 in Minute Maid. Snell will get a good start and the Bucs are 9-1 in his last ten as a road underdog.

Pitt/Hou Over 9 -105

The numbers above support the over in this place as well as the fact that they play in the tiny bandbox at Minute Maid. Both pitchers have high ERA's against today's opponent and the bullpens are suspect at best. Cousins is behind the plate and last year the over was 21-14 when he worked and if the total fell between 8 and 9.5 the over was an outstanding 18-5! Over is 6-1-2 in the last 9 Astro games.

Seattle -118

The M's looked good with pitching, defense and timely hitting yesterday when the A's could do none of that and wasted a decent start. Blanton has been a wreck in the spring and Washburn has always been solid. The A's had trouble getting the bats going yesterday which is good news because when this happened last year both teams took advantage. While the A's are 0-6 when scoring 2 runs or less in the previous game the Mariners are a awesome 23-5 when the opponent scores 2 or less.

I am looking at a few more for today but this should be it unless something really jumps out at me. Best of luck to all.

Giants -109

I know all about Zito's numbers in the spring and how they tend to be bad, however I think he is a perfect NL pitcher. I look for him to thrive in this park and with this team. Bonds has been red hot in the spring and is in much better shape than he has been in recent seasons. The Padres did not always fare well against left handers last year as they went 2-7 in the last 9 on the road against leftys. The Padres have ha d tough go in this series losing the last 5 out of 7 in SF. Bochy and Klesko will make a big impact against their former team in today's contest. Bonds goes deep and Zito looks sharp. in the win. This line has been dropping so I will wait to pull the trigger but wanted to get the pick up.
