Like the #5-Blast'em(7-2)* to win this event. Should be near the lead the entire trip & has the best closing speed of the bunch. Think he can beat the "Chalk" today & hopefully @ a nice price. There are 6 entries for the race but you can throw-out these too: #1-Notime To Badinage(15-1)* & #3-Short Memo(9-2)*. Here are the rest & my wagers:

#2-Waronthehomefront(8-5)*
#4-Keep Me Posted(3-1)*
#6-Jaival(5-1)*

$10.00 Exacta 5/2,4,6
$5.00 Tri-Fecta 5/2/4,6

Total Wagers: $40.00

Good Luck & Come On Blast'em!!!:0008

Ran 2-5-6:facepalm:

#2 held on and won by a neck!!!:0045 #5 was 5-1 & #6 end up @ 12-1. If the #5 could have caught the "Chalk", Exacta & Trifecta pay-outs would have been very nice$$$.

Poo Poo sure does happen in this game

After awhile I guess you just have to accept the unexpected slap (PUNCH) in the face this sport will throw at ya sometimes.

I know how you feel too.. DO I EVA!!!

Last year I was on some kinda hot streak at Philly and nailed (posted it here too, check the archives if this place has that feature) a $90+ winner who was my only pick for that race too. About a week or two later I nailed another one that paid about the same. Sorry, I didn't post that one. I do remember the name of one of them, Habby Quatorez.

Story goes that I had something like 2 stinkin dollars to W/PL on each occasion. Months later I find another RARE pick ( I VERY RARELY play horses with these kind of odds) I remember that it was in the 9th race and Bermudez was the jockey. This time, I bet heavier (gotta admit it wasn't that much heavier, but STILL heavier) and I liked this one best of all. Get this...

The horse wins by at least a length, and guess what? ... .... THEMS DISQUALIFIED THE BASTAGE FOR SWERVING IN THE STRETCH. He was CLEARLY the winner of that race too.

Gonna take me quite awhile to get over that one.

I know I prob. would have my doubts about this hard-to-believe, sad tale if somebody told it to me, but you might also find a post by DELIMAN in the archives,"Jimbo you got another $100 winner for me today?".
