The lowest end model of the thin bezel samsung line in whatever size you'd like. That way you're getting the entry level in the higher end model line... better monitor with less of the stupid shit you'd never use. I like Samsung but this approach would work for Sony or Panasonic as well.

Samsung or Sony, dont waste $ on 3D models. Sony has its own store on ebay where you can pick up some decent deals

Agree with above. Samsung best bang for your buck, IMO. Sony is overpriced compared to Samsung which is similar, if not equal in quality. Don't waste your money on 3D... you'll use it once (maybe) and have to drop extra cash on those dumb looking glasses. Also, those guys in the store will push you hard to buy a UHD (Ultra HD TV). Just keep in mind that you wont be able to watch anything on cable or satellite that will actually be able to fully utilize the technology since they don't broadcast anything in 4K UHD. The only movies/shows that will actually be projected on your screen in UHD are 4K Blu-Ray discs, which haven't even been released yet, for the most part.

use Sam's Club or Costco because of their return policy..

the manufactures today have pretty much mastered the LED and have awesome picture and last a good long time..

My 70'' LED [purchased Jan 2012 and Visio 55' purchased over 5 years ago all have a super picture to this very morning.. both from Sam's Club because of their return policy.[YA TRY IT YA DON'T LIKE IT YAKE IT BACK 90 DAYS LATER]

it being..same applies to Costco...Betone can confirm

1. Televisions, laptop and desktop computers, projectors, digital music players, cameras, camcorders, and other electronics and unopened computer/video game software must be returned within 90 days of purchase with a receipt. Defective opened software, music and video games will be exchanged within 90 days of purchase with a receipt.

you'll play hell getting more than 30 days from anywhere else

definitely get the 120 hz.....

btw.....I know that sony/samsung/Panasonic are the names...but I`ve been buying lg`s that last few purchases and the picture is better than anything I`ve had(even the little 32 inch 60 hz I put in front of the treadmill in the basement)......have an lg 47 inch/120 hz in the bedroom that blows the rest away....

g.l. I don`t think you should have to spend a fortune to get a decent t.v...

agree what deezy said above, but if you get tv that can handle uhd/4k it performs better with 1080p than tv with max 1080p. it has better color&contrast capability and motion handling that does a lot of good when watching sports. just like a car with bigger engine, no need to rev it up all the time just to ride with traffic...

you get netflix, ppv, and other apps cheaper byuing an standard blu ray player,
also you get better options what apps you want and need

i have panasonic plasma from 2013 and it is best/??? home electronics device i have bought. paid less than 1k? for it so you don't have to break a bank with something that loses it's value in a year or so

look around if you find new pana 2013 ST60 or GT60 models, should be around 1k mark

hope you find a good one
