Ocelot........SNL is rightfully there at #10,maybe you just scrolled by it.
"All in the Family" gettin alot of ink here, I would put it in top 5. I like comedy, and it was one that really made me piss my pants, along with "Soap" & "Married". Not a series, tho, but just a comedian, recently RIP Rodney Dangerfield made me piss, too.
Just a note about "Columbo". It started out, anyway, if I'm not mistaken, only on once per 4 weeks. It rotated the spot with three other 1 hour shows in the same time slot. Maybe that is why it didn't get included.

& Oh yeh, I forgot, can someone plese tell me & Ocelot what the H is "American Family"? I never heard of it either & I have been around a long time & my house has watched it's fair share of TV.
"The Defenders" was a (B/W I think) lawyer type show from the 60's.............it was good.
No one has mentioned "Disney's Wide World of Color". A Sunday night staple for kids which rotated fantasy, adventure etc. One of the first color series.......was verrrry popular, it may even have been on for 1 1/2 hours per nite.

Assume you are right. The Sunday Mystery Movie it was called. I would think getting McMillan & Wife, Columbo,McLeod in ratation along with, depending on the year, Quincy,Banacek etc as one show would have to rate up there.

Gotta think Married should'a been there. Some of those on the list I never even heard of:

Your Show of Shows,The Defenders, American Family, Playhouse 90??

And yeah, where are Happy Days, Barney Miller, Gilligan and Sanford? And what was the name of the show where the doctor Joel had to go to practice in Alaska to pay back his student loan? Great show but I forgot its name.

[Was it "Northern Exposure"?]

Yes it was and it's one of my alltime favorites. Certainly better then a few of those shows on that list. Dallas should be on that list also. Strange list either way, since when are talk shows considered 'series' anyway?
