MINNESOTA TWINS +135 - With no disrespect to John Halama, the Twins are probably happy to face him after splitting the first 2 games of this series vs. Hudson and Zito. While Halama does sport a good 3.65 ERA, he has a rather high ratio of 1.49, and he has just 19 strikeouts vs. 16 walks in 37 innings. That is a major negative vs. a professional Minnesota lineup that is not afraid to work the count. On the flip side, Mays has a high ERA of 5.26, but a good ratio of 1.26. Mays has also had some success vs. Oakland in the past, posting a 3.83 ERA in 9 appearances against them covering 42.1 innings. He is coming off of a sparkling effort vs. the White Sox where he allowed 1 run on 7 hits in 6.2 innings, and Mays appears to offer some excellent value at this price.
