TWINS/PADRES OVER 8 ? -105 - Loewer has bounced around from team to team trying to find a home, but he has hardly impressed in his first 4 starts as a Padre. His 5.41 ERA and horrible 1.84 ratio just won?t cut it at the Major League level. This is also a very bad matchup for him, as the Twins have several professional hitters in their lineup that like to work the count, and these guys should feast on Loewer?s mediocre stuff. Granted, Santana has pitched well both as a reliever and as a spot starter, but he may be asked to go further than usual after last night?s 11-inning affair. Besides, Minnesota may approach this total by themselves vs. Loewer and what has been a shaky San Diego bullpen. Finally, you trend-lovers will like the fact that the San Diego Over is 27-12, 69.2% this season following a Padres loss.
