TWINS/RANGERS UNDER 10.5 -115 - Now I know that John Thomson is not the first pitcher you think off in terms of Unders, but believe it or not, the Under is 30-18, 62.5% in his last 48 Major League starts. He is also in good current form, recording Quality Starts in each of his last 2 starts, both vs. some good competition (Seattle and Anaheim). Surprisingly, he had never faced the Twins, so he could be tough on them the first go-around. Interestingly, the Under is also 10-4 in all of Reed?s starts this season, despite his 4.54 ERA. Reed pitched reasonably well in 2 starts vs. Texas last season, allowing a total of 4 runs on 9 hits while walking no one in 8.1 innings. Both pitchers should benefit from umpire Larry Young working the plate, as the Under is now 7-3 the last 10 times he?s worked there. Finally, the Under is 5-1 in the last 6 head-to-head meetings between these teams, with an average total score of 8.80 runs per game, nearly 2 full runs less than tonight?s total.
