yup, goverment doesn't like competition for it's gambling operations.
the double standard is more morally offensive than the gambling itself.
This has nothing to do with internet gambling.
This has to do with them shutting down an illegal local in New York.
No one was prosecuted fro PLACING BETS.
They are being prosecuted for ACCEPTING BETS.
In additon, they were only using the internet to facilitate what they were doing HERE.
This was not being doen in Costa Rica, Antigua, etc.
This whole thing has nothing to with what the members here at Madjacks do, which is PLACING BETS with internet sites that are BASED OVERSEAS.
There is a HUGE difference between what members of Madjacks do and what this article is about.
Look, I am just as concerned as the next guy about what tey are trying to do to us. It is bullshit.
However, this is totally unrelated.
Does anyone else agree with me here?
this internet gambling is too easy to get into trouble and lose all your money and become addicted too, which is why our senators and congressmen are looking out for us.
Meanwhile, in PA a new casino opens, and we're ok with this, but heaven forbid you wager on a game.
