Not a lot of time for write-ups but so far I like these two games. In my opinion they have GREAT line value. Also, if you like betting the NBA the Clips, Lakers and Warriors are all playing MUST WIN games at home against bad teams with nothing to play for. I think the ol' 3 team 8 point teaser will be used fo' sho'!

Rangers 230/200 - McCarthy's not great by any means but Ramirez has been absolutely awful. In his only start this year he got rocked and gave up 4 runs in 4 innings in Cleveland. The game got rained out so he didn't take the loss, but he would have lost for sure. In short, this guy HAS to be rusty. He's only pitched 4 innings since the season started due to all the rainouts so I think he'll give up some runs. As I said before McCarthy isn't great but the M's are hitting under .200 as a team so far. This could be a high-scoring game but I think the Rangers will outscore the M's.

Padres 240/200 - I think there is great value here considering how well Young pitches against the Dodgers. Pierre 1 for 7, Garciaparra 1 for 11, Kent 2 for 11, Furcal 2 for 19. Furthermore, last year with the Pads Young had an ERA of 2.41 on the road and an ERA of 2.67 in 5 starts against LA with a .154 BAA. More specifically, at Dodger Stadium he had an ERA of 2.89 with a .129 BAA. Maybe the Dodgers get to him tomorrow but so far they haven't proven they can do it.

I also think getting Harden at -115 at home is a bargain but he's 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA against the Yanks, so I may lay off of that one. Robertson and the Tigers seem like a good bet too but the line is -110, which seems VERY fishy to me. Robertson vs. Towers should be about -140 to me. Maybe I'm wrong though...

Good luck y'all! :00hour

i agree with you...the tigers line should be higher. Living in toronto i seen towers pitch and hes bound to give up a few runs, but with the hitting power toronto has, you never know. 2morrows game may be a revenge game since they couldnt close the game 2day...im leaning towards the tigers as well, but may juss stay away from it.

thanks dosun. GL to you too. Robertson doesn't have great numbers against Toronto and the Jays are playing at home, so maybe that's why the line is so low. Still, I certainly didn't expect it to be -110. It's now -112 at my book. I bet by tomorrow morning it's up past -130.

ALSO...Reed Johnson is out (leadoff and left field), Glauss is likely out (badly bruised heel) and now BJ Ryan is on the DL and will be seeing a specialist (had sore back in the spring, not a good sign).

AND Josh Towers may have done well in the spring, but wasn't stellar last outing and, after a disastrous year last year, needs to prove himself.

Chalking the Texas bet up as a loss. McCarthy is easily the worst pitcher I've seen so far this year. I gave him way too much credit. Also doesn't help that they have Kata playing third instead of Blalock. He's already botched FOUR plays in the first two innings.

If the M's lead by 2 or less after 5 I'll take them in a 2h bet...

Good luck all!

It looks like we are in the minority tonight
with the Padres play...everybody thinking
the Dodgers win on a emotional nite...I would
say it will help them early but hopefully once
the game settles in that the Padres can win
this thing....

Good luck and kick ass

Thanks CB. The way my day is going I should just buy back that bet now. :mj07: Young has pitched very well in his career against the Dodgers and at Dodger Stadium. From a purely numbers standpoint I think the Pads should win. Then again, from a numbers standpoint the Tigers should have crushed the Jays!

Good luck...

Whaddya know?! Young has dominated the Dodgers throughout his career but he just so happens to get hammered on Jackie Robinson Night. Surprise, surprise. I'm not saying he's throwing the game or anything, just that the Dodgers weren't going to lose tonight. If Young would have pitched well Wolf probably would have thrown a no-no. :mj07: I should have factored in the emotional aspect of tonight's game for the Dodgers.

0-2 on posted plays but I also played the Tigers late and lost 3 BIG NBA bets today. I'll be taking some time off as my reads have been absolutely horrid lately. Good luck everyone.

I agree dosun. That was just a flat-out embarrassing performance by Young. If the Dodgers had Jackie Robinson night every night they would go 162-0! :142smilie

I would love to have seen how this game would have gone if they had not called that bs catcher's interference on the very first LA batter of the game. If Young gets that out I think he gets through the first 1-2-3. Safe to say this game is fixed. After hearing all the BS about Jackie Robinson and how the MLB is sucking up to him and all the black players, you think they were going to let the Dodgers lose? I'm a fool for betting SD tonight.
