and leave the whining to those making the sacrifices.
Plenty of THAT to go around these days, no doubt about it. Thanks for understanding.

"support for your position is slowly dribbling away....."
I am speechless.
classic gardeweasl post. let's see - he used:
2 big words (hyperbole and viscerally)
moonbat (twice)
howl gore
academia
possibly one made up word (murderousness ...if not, it should be)
rhetoric (3 x)
plus, he predictably:
twisted the war failure onto the dems
twisted the war failures onto the media
accused critics of undercutting the war effort
brought global warming into it
talked down to his audience yet again
All of your posts are the same, weasel. The scattered ramblings of a scared little man. Lashing out at others, accusing them of rooting against our country just because they are fed up with the way this administration has performed.
well then, have the balls to cut off funding and end the "debacle".....
that`s what everybody wants....right?...don`t have the DEMOCRAT votes, you say?....
hopefully the surge will fail....then maybe your representatives will grow enough sac to pulll out the rug....
untill then, they`re afraid to put their money where their mouths are....
i hate when that happens...
pointy of view? what point of view? i can't understand 90% of your babbling. For example, why did you mention global warming?this thread was a one-way hatefest until i weighed in........you just don`t like hearing another point of view......
.
and then...nice post buddy........i`m beginning to believe that you actually may be a bit unhinged.....
you moonbats
But you are a very hostile poster
Or one could say that they are supporting the president one last time after being lied to, misled and generally being bent over.
Surge what Surge? Other countries pulling not adding troops. Are we the surge. Dem's should make it simple. Surge and Iraq government do what they promise by July 1st 07. Put Screws to it if they don't. Everyone out by January 1st 08. Leave 20000 in Kuwait if they need a little hit and run once in a while. Then Pull them by July 1st 08.
Stop screwing with this civil war.

Baghdad security crackdown seriously curbs killings of US soldiers
BAGHDAD, March 14 (KUNA) -- The rate of killings of US troops in Iraq has been on the decline, down by 60 percent, since the launch of the new security measures in Baghdad, according to statistics revealed by the Multi-National Force -Iraq Combined Press Information Centre.
Only 17 members of the US military in Iraq have been killed since February 14 till March 13, compared to 42 from January 13 to February 13; the rate was on the decline during the first month of the security crackdown, compared to a month before.
Two of the 17 soldiers died at US Baghdad camps of non-combat causes.
The remarkable decrease in killings among the US troops came at a time when more of these troops were deployed in the Iraqi capital, especially in districts previously regarded as extremely hazardous for them such as Al-Sadr City, Al-Azamiyah, and Al-Doura.
Meanwhile, US attacks on insurgent strongholds north of Baghdad curbed attacks against helicopters. Before the new security plan, many such craft were downed leaving 20 soldiers dead.
The US army in Iraq had earlier said that sectarian fighting and violence in Baghdad had dropped sharply, by about 80 percent, since the launch of the plan.

Dogs you are unreal:
Seriously curbs killing of American soldiers. ONLY 17 died last month.
Budget deficit SHRINKS to$52 billion.
I hope you don't believe what you are saying half the time because we are in big trouble even if 30% of people think like you. I have a story from my wife's nephew who I am pretty close with. That has been in Iraq since early December. This a real person who is there and you can't spin with Clinton's BJ or some left blogs.
This is what he told me in email I got 3 days ago. He one of guards that is guarding something like 5000 prisoners. He had always said he believes in what he is doing. He was proud to be in the army and wanted to serve. This kid is 20. Well to make a long story short the British used to patrol and protect the camp he is in. Now that they have redeployed or went home and the a direct quote from him "The so-called Iraqi army" has taken over. They lost 3 soldiers in a road side bomb and have been mortar attacked just about every day. He went on to say they don't know who they can trust in the "Iraqi Army" and moral has steadily declined. He also said most of the time when there are roadside bombs or ied's it's like the people or insurgents knew where to be at. He said that some of prisoners start to act up and fight with the guards when there are attacks.I could go on with more stuff but will stop there.
IF you think this surge is going to work then you are just plain brainwashed or are a clone of Dick Cheney.

I think most people just don't see how all these things hinge on this final 'surge'. If it aint happ'nin, then it aint happening regardless of a few thousand extra troops.or just walk away.....leaving iraq, the oil,the strategic position and all iraqi allies that believed in us to iran and al qaeda?.....
.
This is my feeling on Iraq:
We give the Iraqi government till the end of the summer to get control of the sectarian killings. That will give them over 6 months since the beginning of the year, which I doubt will happen since they haven't gotten control yet in about what 4 years. If this is still widespread pull out all US troops out of harms way and redeploy if you will out of unstable killing zones. Bring them to assist the Iraqi troops when needed if they are over whelmed. By Jan 1 2008 bring half home. If all this crap is still going on convince the gov't to split Iraq into 3 pieces with equal oil revenue. If they don't want to that pull all troops out in summer of 2008. I would like that but we will have troops in Iraq for another 20 years with the mess this administration has gotten us into. Don't worry the oil will flow with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia our so called friends. We'll still have troops in Kuwait and Saudi if we must.
Now I can hear every neocon saying Iran will take over. Iran sees what has happened to Iraq and I doubt they will chance a full blown war with us. I also don't think the world will them to get nuclear
weapons.
I have a few questions for you gardenweasel. How long do we stay the course in Iraq? Maybe the violence has slowed but what do we do keep with this surge for the next 10 years? What would be your plans for the next 1-2 years? Our country has about maxed out our credit card with all debt we have so I do pay for another 2 maybe 5 years? Raise Taxes?
All I know is this administration has screwed this whole thing up and isn't getting any better so it's time to let somebody else try to get us out of this mess.
