KID,

BestBuy gift card--can't go wrong!!

Ok, I've made up my mind. One gift card for Home Depot, one for Best Buy.

The dinner idea was good, but they are young and don't have much money, so I know he will want to buy something.

1) Golf sucks. Don't get into it while you still can. Times are hard and there better things to do than pissing away money on future cemetaries. Guys you'll meet there most likely aren't good prospects. Unless you want some ol' fart with money that's soon to kick off. Golfing isn't going to bring you any closer to Kosar. He seems to also understand it's as lame as marbles or pitching pennies. But his attraction for sleeping on his feet compels him to play the sport with others.

2) Get him a gift card for a sports store in the area or some other outlet to by something with his favorite team on it.

Your forum stalker should be here shortly to explain how he killed his last squirrel with his bare hands and burried it in his yard.

IO,

Why must you be so hateful to Bartster? Can't we all get along? It's the holiday season.

Actually, I did like your idea of sports store, but I think he needs something more practical right now, as they don't have much. They're mid-twenties, just out of school, etc...

Why do guys always think women just do stuff to meet guys? I have never once in my life thought, hmmm, I'm gonna go do something I wouldn't ordinarily do to meet someone. I do what interests me. I really enjoyed golf when I played it before, just haven't had anyone to play with. Now, I do. Plus, it's outdoors and I love the outdoors combined with the competition.

Kelly.

If you are still taking lessons, my first suggestion would be ask the pro who has been giving you the lessons, has seen you hit balls, and knows your game what his suggestion would be for you.

From my end, not knowing any of that info, I would suggest that you buy last years model of the Callaways. This will save you $200-300 and these are the most forgiving clubs on the market. I would also suggest going to a Dick's Sporting Goods or other major golf retailer where you can practice hitting several brands and pick the one that feels best for you.

Good luck!

I don't hate "Bartster". I think stalkers are very entertaining. Lame, but entertaining. Quaint of you to step up to the plate for the young weirdo.

I don't change for any time of the year, season, "holiday", etc. Carrying on in your life in some kind of improved fashion just because it's the "holidays", is as weak as going on a diet because it's the start of the year. Speaking of, there's only one holiday every year for me.....

Its easy to see why more females don't post on this site after reading the replys--lady just asking for some practical suggestions and it goes way out of bounds--good luck Kelly on whatever you do.

IO,

I don't think just being friendly makes one a stalker. It's no different than the banter that 99% of the men exchange here on a daily basis.

You just seem a bit grouchy. I hope the new year and every day, including the holidays, is a good one for you.

Cheers!:toast:

Thanks, Hawkeye. I've notice that most of the replies that are sincere and helpful come from the mature, older guys.

no Kels

I just don't convey well on the internet. I've come to understand that and it doesn't matter to me. The owner of this place actually doesn't "get" most of what I post. Nuttin I can do about those perceptions. I can't draw out a blueprint, intentions included, for every one of my posts.

I'm actually in a very very good mood right now. Whatever banter I've had with the stalker is the same as I've had with anyone here. You should be happy, I'm way out of his league so I long ago stopped addressing any of his posts. I hate (if I seem like I'm) picking on the less fortunate. It's boring.

You take care of him though. Alright

Hey "Kels"

Here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about. This has to be one of the funniest posts made in this now milk toast world of MJ's in months. I laughed my fukin ass off out loud! I wasn't about to draw out a joke chart for the "older" and "more mature" gentlemen of MJ's.

it got nothing

fwiw .....

his title had "virus" in it

Figures you and stalker are good buds. He didn't get my GIANT ANTEATER picture either that I had in my sig line. That was also funny as hell but a bit over his head. Jack actually made a nice catch on that one.

I.O.

I guess humor is in the eye of the beholder, and yes, I get the thread you referenced. I say to each his own, even in the "milquetoast" world of MJ's.

I don't take offense easily. I can't say that I understand why some posters choose to be a-holes where unprovoked, but whatever. That's on them, so no big deal to me.
