I haven't looked it up, but my record on posted plays is bad. Real bad. Something like 3-8 or 3-9. I seem to do much, much better when I don't post, but I figured what the hell?

Washington -123 - The only thing that scares me about this game is that the line looks really light. I assumed Wash would be at least -140, so this worries me a bit. Having said that, the Nats are a much better team than the O's and although I'm not a huge fan of Livan, they have a big pitching advantage today. Bergesen isn't just bad, he's incredibly bad. In fact, he's one of the pitchers I have on my "go against" list. I also really like that Balty won yesterday. I don't see the Nats losing two in a row to these guys, especially with Bergesen on the bump.

TB - 1' +105 - I'm sure there are a lot of people who will stay away from TB today after they shit the bed yesterday, but the no hitter just makes me want to play them even more. I'm assuming if there's any pride on that team they will bounce back and play well today. Another game with a big pitching advantage -- Kennedy isn't in the same league as Price. I typically stay away from TB games because I think guys like Davis, Shields and Garza are overrated, but I do like Price at home. Niemann and Price will usually keep their team in the game. I look for the TB bats to wake up today and put 6 or 7 on the board, with Price pitching well.

Now that I said what I think "should" happen, I should probably expect Kennedy and Bergesen to throw perfect games. :mj07:

Apparently I should have waited until the lineups came out before I bet on that TB game. Crawford out of the lineup and Kelly "Babe" Shoppach somehow inserted into the 5-hole. Ouch. :scared

If Washington can hold on it looks like a 1-1 day. Like I said before, I think I will check lineups before placing bets from now on. Had I known Crawford would be sitting and the Rays would have five hitters hitting .240 or less in the lineup today, I never would have played them. I guess they could still come back and cover, but I just don't see them scoring 3 runs with that lineup.

:mj07: Looks like I spoke too soon. Livan is getting absolutely hammered against Balty, but of course Riggleman leaves him out there to give the game away. What should have been an easy win for the Nats will probably end up being a loss because Livan didn't get pulled when he should have. I'm sure he will be left in there to give up 2 or 3 more since his "pitch count" is still somewhat low. Why are managers so afraid to use their bullpens.

VERY lucky to get the split. As I figured, Washington couldn't overcome that implosion by Livan and went on to lose. Luckily for me the D-bags bullpen crapped the bed in the other game so TB won by 2. Its never easy in bases... :0033
