YTD: 2-1 (Phoenix last night)
Milwaukee +1.5 @ Cleveland
The Bucks have lost 3 in a row, and are now tied with Toronto for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East. Both Milwaukee and Toronto have a 2 game cushion on 9th place Indiana. The Bucks have lost 2 of 3 against Cleveland this year, both losses were at home. The lone Bucks' win in the season series was at Cleveland (101-91). Let's face it, Milwaukee is not even close to being the team that it was last year. Injuries to the "Big Three" (Allen, Robinson, Cassell) are a major reason why Milwaukee has struggled. Having said that, it is putup or shutup time for the Bucks. This team has too much talent to be left out of this year's playoffs. I think Milwaukee will put forth its best effort tonight, and take some of its frustrations out on the lowly Cavs.
Pick: Milwaukee
Boston -8.5 vs Miami
Boston is a much better team than Miami, and it is coming off a loss to the Bulls. Miami played a double-overtime game against Houston last night at home. This game is on TNT, so both teams will probably put forth maximum effort for family and friends watching at home. The Heat have fared very well against Boston this year. Miami lost two games at home to Boston by a combined total of 6 points. They won their only trip to the Fleet Center this season by 23 points (89-66). Miami has played better ball on the road than it has at home all season long. Boston owns an impressive 24-14 record at home. This is a tough one to call. I noticed that all of the money is going on Boston so far. The line opened at -7 and has since been bet up to -8.5. Due to the fatigue that I think Miami will experience in the 4th quarter, I am leaning towards Boston at this time.
Lean: Boston
Back later with my official plays. Good luck tonight!
