Sure, the odds are slim.....but someone has to win the Olympic Pick Three!

3-0 again so far, with the tie breaker to go. I picked a little less obvious score tonight:

Atlanta to win 26-16

Yes.....$500 bones. Typical contest crap, though. Need a 6X rollover.

I burned it on one play!

Maybe not that surprising that this many people hit it.

There have been some pretty large favorites on the board the last couple of weeks, and all of them have won straight-up. Who wouldn't take Washington or Indy this past week, or Atlanta last night? I mean, you could take someone else, but those were by far the 3 biggest favs on the board, so the majority of players are going to play those. And as long as the 3 biggest favs on the board keep winning SU you're going to get a ton of people just hoping on the tie-breaker. It's really been pretty easy to go 3-0 lately. I'm 18-0 now after missing Week 1 ... and that still only puts me in a tie for 300-somethingth place. About 15 people are 21-0.

I think the way to win this is to avoid picking one or two of the huge favs to begin with, and hope a huge fav loses SU, which would wipe out the majority of your competition. If you are going to take the popular picks, I'd think you pretty much have to pick a score which requires a safety and get lucky as hell to get the exact score that way. Either that or enter this contest the minute it opens each week.

Thats impossible. It cant happen. This shit has to be rigged!! I cant believe that many people can go 3-0 then get the EXACT score of the Monday night game. INCREDIBLE

I went 3-0, and predicted 23-13 Atlanta. Four points off the winner's score, and one point off the loser's score...and it tells me I came in 770th for the week! LOL

1240 people went 3-0 this week:

http://contest.blastpromo.com/cgi-b...=7|3084&sort_by=interval&highlight_personal=1

Only 247 people went 2-1, as it goes down to 1487th place. And just 41 people were 1-2 (down to 1528th place). So virtually everyone is playing the big favs to get results like that. Wait til some huge favorite loses one week and see what those numbers look like.

So, 24 people out of 1240 guessed the score exactly right. That's only 1.9% getting it bang-on right for a very common score. And the actual final score was not that far off of either the betting line or total for the game. To me it sounds entirely plausible that this could happen.
