After the way Tcu looked tonight, does this raise any questions about how good Tech is. A&M is looking good Saturday. I think this line will move.

I've had 7 phone calls and a plethora of F bombs this evening.

Yes it raises questions

Yes I can fake the answers

TCU's pressure on Graham Harrell was, imo, the most significant factor in the inability of the TTU offense. His foot work was horrendous the remainder of the game as was his timing. A&M getting to the QB coupled with the unfriendly confines of Kyle field definitely equates to bad news for the Red Raiders.

Along with the shotty QBinism, there were more dropped passes and short armed attempts by the receiver corp than I've ever seen even going back to the Spike Dykes' days.

Shannon Woods has done as good of a job as could be expected replacing Taurean Henderson but it's pretty simple when watching a Mike Leach managed game that when the pass game is working Tech can run the ball. When the pass game is not working the run game is non-existent. Harrell has the option on every play to check to a run but to do that he has to call out the blocking assignments and that won't be an easy thing to do in College Station. Changing pass plays is easier as they are done with hand signals.

To add to the pressure on Harrell concerns, Tech OG Louis Vasquez and his back up Ofa Mohetau most likely will be out. I say most likely because the way we report injuries makes the New England Patriots look like Sammy "The Bull" Regardless, they're hobbled and unless a shaman comes and lays hands, they'll be out.

Starting OT Glenn January is also banged up but my heart doctor says I cannot talk about him until my blood pressure goes down or I give up eating steak and eggs. There's a better chance of him playing than either of those 2 things happening.

As the ultimate optimist I see the glass as 10 percent full instead of 90% empty.

Jarrett Hicks returns in the nick of time to sure up a struggling left side and has big play capability. More importantly with the return of Hicks is the return of the fade and the jump ball. Hicks has fly traps for hands and can go get the ball at it's pinnacle. This will help in the red zone.

Mike Leach did more ass chewing than a B rated Porn star. Terry Glenn would rather be called 'she' than have to go through the hell Leach put them through. No heart, Soft, scared, prima donnas, just to name a few. I bought preparation H after reading his news conference online.

I won't taint this post with facts but I believe the return of Seth Nitschmann in game 4 doubled the season sack total. The defense is playing well against the run, ugly against the pass, and horra-bad against the scrambling QB. Palmers little brother who runs like an above knee amputee had a jog of 40+ yards against us. TCU's scrambling QB ran on a few 3rd and longs late and was able to convert. Mcgee is a big threat but with Seth back we can hopefully keep him running up the middle where our LB's can continue to miss arm tackles and slow him down for the safety's to come up and grab a calf.

Funny how spitting never gets that bitter taste out of your mouth.

" From 1995 through 2005, Tech's won eight of 11. The Raiders have dominated the series during that time even without dominating many games. 1995: Tech 14-7.
1996: Tech 13-10.
1997: Tech 16-13.
1998: A&M 17-10.
1999: Tech 21-19.
2000: A&M 33-15.
2001: Tech 12-0.
2002: Tech 48-47, OT.
2003: Tech 59-28.
2004: A&M 32-25, OT.
2005: Tech 56-17.
"

Imagine if your heart was on the line and not your money and you'll understand where I'm sitting.

Good luck this weekend on your plays

AM is the biggest fraud in America. Tech has issues, particlarly Harrell, but AM cant stop anybody passing the ball, and they havent even played a real team yet.

Regardless, trying to cap this game based on what TCU did in this game and so on is just fallacy. It just doesnt work that way.Just look at tonight....South Carolina barely beat Wofford....Colorado gets beat by Montana State at home and was one play from winning at Georgia.....and so on.....

Bottom line I will take Tech's offense against AM's defense every day of the week. Tech's defense run defense is pretty good and AM doesnt have much of a passing game.

I agree with you to a point when it come to capping a game based on another game. Going in to the Byu game , I thought that Byu had played the better schedule, wasn't sure about TCU ,because of Tx Tech. I think I got the answer last night. You are also right about A&M not having played anyone yet, but you failed to mention TX Tech hasn't played anyone yet. I had not even thought about the Tech/A&m game until the 4th quarter of the game last night. Just a lean for now on A&M. It is early in the season but being ranked from 10 to 25 doesn't seem to mean much. There are many teams as good from 25 to 40.

The difference in the TCU/Tech and TCU/BYU games was the QB play of the opposing team. Tech had a Freshman and BYU had a Senior. Beck never let TCU's pressure get to him. I don't know how many times it looked like TCU was going to sack Beck and then he completes a long pass.

more importantly, tech covered 10 of these 11 games. the only loss ATS was the OT game in '04.

if you believe in trends, it doesn't get much stronger than covering 10 of 11 against a rival.
