7th round pick in two years.
You can have him, Jack!
Would he have been traded if he ran the kick back for a score.....Doubt it.
Recently, the Seattle ? punter made a snap decision to run for a first down, rather than run around milking clock and if necessary, take a safety. He was successful in his actions, and don't recall him being cut because of it. Wild Cat decisions don't usually work out well as the norm.
The thing is all about trust.
He was said to be an unselfish player but, his actions on this day were not.
Was loosely reported that Montgomery was "Told" to take the ball at the 25 (obviously best chance senario to win game is in Rodgers hands), and was insubordinate in his decision to run the ball out of the endzone and ultimately Fumble away any chance to win the game.
There was also a hint of Montgomery feeling pissed he wasn't "Used" as he believes he should have been.......
And most damaging was his post game presser where he seemed to double down on his actions, and try to half-assed justify the play as in the hands of the Football Gods.
BullShit.....Coaches, players have to be trusted to buy in to what the team is attempting to do....to do anything else but what was agreed to prior to the play, is counter productive and undermines the whole process.
Seems like the kid just threw up his middle finger and said "F Off"
Only thing to do was get rid of him and by getting a pick, albeit a late rounder, is a win for the Packers.
When you shit the bed......
You clean the sheets....
