to me, the right side was LAL, if you lose at the last second with that kind of shoot is not a bad handicapping, is bad luck!!

interesting that lal was the right side when taking into account the fact that minn was covering for about 45 of the 48 minutes in that game.

You know! the big quarter can be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even the 4th quarter, the lakers took big the 1st and 4th quarter, Minny just the 2nd quarter and the 3rd not so strong, and of course if you are betting the minutes you shoould see is the last 2, why?? because no matter who manny turnovers or big/small leads the game had, in the last 2 minutes you know if you are going to win the money or not with 33 seconds remaining in the clock, lakers were winning by 13 and the game was over!! the money was just lucky and that's it! :D yes I will take that lucky money any fvcking day, but is should recognize that was a lucky winner!

I know LA is a public team,but.............

I know LA is a public team,but.............

Minnesota was covering with the help of referees awarding them 22 fouls shots in the first half,21 of which they canned.RefereeBall is usually the hallmark of the NCAA game not playoff NBA basketball. It is highly unusual to see an NBA playoff game refereed like that first half was. Then to have Minnesota go into the foul thing down 10 with 20 seconds to go and then being content to drive for quick uncontested layups after the foul shots, seemingly not even attempting a three until the final spread beater at the horn really sucked.Often I feel that games turn out a particular way because they were meant to turn that way,but I feel this game could have ended much differently without striped shirt intervention and the curious closing strategy by Minn.

It's laughable to think the refs favored Minnesota on the Lakers home court of a conference final. It was made obvious the Lakers were going to win when the referee went to the scorer's table to ask how many fouls Shaq had. It was really bogus. Do the fans come to see the stars? Yes. But the refs really messed with the integrity of the game because you knew they were not going to foul Shaq out no matter what,

I agree but Shaq played a very clean 2nd Half, he didn't need help! :D

Hilarious that one thinks Minny benefitted from the refs.

Next time i see Karl Malone play defense like he's not a pulling offensive guard will be the first. Next time I see Shaq make an offensive move without his elbows extended, then we can talk about him having true basketball skills. LA was allowed to play physical on ball defense slapping and grabbing at the ball, thru the arms of the minny players, for most of the first and fourth quarters.

The NBA is all about anticipation and phantom foul calls, when the refs allow a defense to swipe, grab, clutch at the ball without blowing whistles, turnovers will happen....ala quarter one yesterday.

BTW dont think LA was ever up 13 in the last minute, it's all perspective. Getting 9.5 and watching Minn do nothing but let LA run 1:20 off the clock (off rebs/TO) down 10, 11, 12 then seeing them close it to 9 with 20 seconds left AND THEN START TO FOUL makes me look at the closing minute another way.

Yeah, great logic...the NBA and refs colluding to try and keep Minny in the game and possibly win it. Would have been the worst thing for the NBA not to have the Lakers win and advance to the finals. Ratings would have been an absolute disaster if LA wasn't involved. Makes ZERO sense. Just because Payton and Malone bitch about every single call, along with the crowd, doesn't mean there shouldn't have been a foul called.
