just a heads up... apparently there are some rumors that caleb williams may not play. not due to any injury. just to protect his health. this would explain the drop in both the spread and the total.

if this is true, it's just the next logical progression. first, top players skip lesser bowl games. now, maybe one is skipping the final game of the season against their arch rival.

if this is true, I'd be sadly disappointed in Caleb Williams. I don't listen to much sports talk radio unless I'm in the car (not often), but I'm sure it'll be national news if it's more than just a rumor..

yeah, from the article i read.... sounded like a reporter asked if he'd playing against ucla. kind of an odd question, unless the reporter had a reason. williams did not respond that "of course i'm playing." it was something like "i hadn't thought about it. but i guess that's a decision i'm going to have to make."

so maybe nothing to it, but that spread and total have both dropped.
