Obvious Fairfield play
-For CT...sandwich game between Zags and BE opener Monday v Hoyas
+23 is way too much after a tough, tough matchup with Gonzaga...a few days off, travel and 2 days of practice.
Game took a lot from both teams...see Zags lose to Portland State in next...
Jim Calhoun will have his troops ready.....BUT....I'm sure he is more concerned with being ready for the BE grind.
My guess is you'll see Thabeet for 20 min and (fast improving) Gavin Edwards for 20. Look for Sticks Robinson to get his sea legs under him tonight with significant PT. Jerome Dyson (probable) will probably play limited minutes with leg and more time for Kemba Walker who is inconsistent of late.
Fairfield has a good experienced team with 4 in dd.
Lotta Juniors and seniors led by Jon Han.. they will not be intimidated. As Box has said there are players here and they are fundamentally sound. Thabeet remembers a few lessons taught him by Greg Nero 2 years ago in a 25 point loss. Fairfield cannot shoot free throws and that will hurt all season ATS but I think they stay comfortably within the lines tonight.
