eventually people will realize georgia tech is for real. :nono:
if tech isnt a quintessential live dog, then ive never seen one.
uconn is fu/ckin good, but how can you lay points to tech right now, especially with uconns FT shooting?

gman2, good luck, don't know you that well, but it seems to me that the revenge angle may come into play, no?

jr:

theres 2 days for cbs and espn and every media outlet to hype the revenge angle.

im of the belief that revenge holds more weight in conference games.

im not sure the winner/loser of that game in november has any advantage/disadvantage. both teams are better than they played in that matchup.

i think the best team will win on monday, plain and simple.

first look from my end? uconn wins by 3.

last time they played

last time they played

back b4 there was fire

ga tech tok them apart on offense, way too athletic

uconn should have some answers, but dont forget they had more emotional game today, trailing almost entire game etc ... in final 4 scenarios Ive seen this bite the fave a # times

ga tech has no pressure, DOGS all year and know how to play that way

should be whale of finale IMO

Okafor wasn't 1005 1st game, not that they would have won... Calhoun up for induction, announcement Monday, either way team will be pumped to close out either to cap off his induction or to prove the committee they were wrong, plenty of motivation...going with UConn, expect after film review Gordon, Brown will singled out for poor d and overall shit play from brown....

initial thoughts are that deschenshcer (sp?) will get schooled by ok4 & that gordon won't have back-2-back sub-par games...refs hurt the huskies' game plan more than the dukies, who imo were gonna try to 1/2 court the game...tech loves to run, uconn better @ that, again imo, & i just can't see uconn not running wild here w/ a few extended 8-10 unanswered runs...big fan of hewitt, no doubt a shining light for ncaa for the next 20 yrs, just think the jackets are overmatched here...not a play yet, but i'm 99% there...gl, caper

The Doberman Schencher is not really the key to the game monday. GT cannot afford to have any of their guards put up a donut vs. Uconn on Monday between Lewis, Jack and Elder. If Elder is not effective, it will not matter what Schencher does.

Before pulling the trigger on UCONN Monday ask yourself this, do you want them shooting FT at the end of the game trying to get you the cover? You almost need them to run GT out of San Antonio to feel comfortable at the end. While GT may not have 1 single defender as good as Duhon to put on Gordon, they do play great team defense and manage their games well. Because they have played close games the entire tourney, you may have to give a small portion of the X factor to the Ramblin' Wreck.

Just a little food for thought

Best of luck to everyone

Gtech is a worse matchup for Uconn than Duke. They have great guards, and will turn Brown into a mess again.

They also have a super deep rotation, and can foul at will. Go ahead and lay that 6. Then watch in horror as Uconn shoots clanker after clanker. Poor point guard play and FT shooting leaves you empty, especially as a fav in a game like this.

We have almost the same exact handicapping style. It is uncanny at times.

digger says during the recap "some folks were affected by that (duhon's) shot", i had to laugh even tho' i was 1 of those affected, i actually kinda like digger...

how different is this game if ok4 plays more than 4 minutes of the 1st 1/2?...completely different, imo...the huskie early mo was interrupted & what had the appearance of a rout was shut down a few minutes later due to adjustments made possible by ok4's absence...btw, i retract an earlier comment re: sub-par performance by gordon, think he ended w/ 18 but was also instrumental in the comeback; brown was the disappointment (1 of many) & also looked for more from anderson...

schenscher (tech) gets a d/d & game mvp, deservedly so, & he's improved dramatically during the last 1/3 of the season...while i don't believe he's the key to tech's success i do think he gets shut down & bullied (needs another summer in the weight room), thus putting it all on the perimeter for tech which will lead to huskies' glass dominance, outlet passing/breakaways & run, run, run to springfield for the calhoun induction...sure, elder could spread his wings again, or the zebras might decide it's up to them to determine the winner, but i like uconn...gl, caper

Im going to be honest with you. If you had Uconn tonight, and can admit that you did not have the right side, and "almost" got lucky at the end, then you will be fine. You might learn from this game and help you in the final.

Uconn did not blow Duke's doors off like anyone predicted. They needed a late rally and a total collapse and a strangely called game to almost get the cover. The huge talent discrepancy everyone was touting was never there.

Look at the game on Monday. It's the same game. Except the name is GaTech instead of Duke. You want to lay those points again with UCONN? It just doesnt make sense. UConn is playing real teams now, and their lack of point guard play and free throw shooting is going to kill them. And GaTech will have the bodies to foul down low. Now lay your 5.5 and be a good chalkeater.

bombs, the "talent descrepancy" was sitting on the bench for practically an entire half of the game (& as mentioned previously duke was able to adjust to ok4's absence & turn the mo around), & speaking of "late lucky", imo duhon's 40 (?) footer off the glass fits into that category...

i'm not a duke basher, just the opposite, been a fan since i was a kid...thought the huskies would win by 6-8 pts...a good case can be made for tech, 5.5 is a lot of pts & uconn's foul shooting is definitely a concern...guess this is why they race horses...always good to hear both sides...gl, caper

Going to be a fun one to watch - but UConn's FT shooting holds me back from laying points with them tomorrow.

I'm very interested to see how the big men on Uconn match up with Schencher (sp?). Also think the guards for both teams will have their hands full with each other.

Good game to watch but probably not the best game to bet.

will tech stay hot from outside ? uconn will give some free looks. i think gt attacks the way duke did. tech has adv at guard and uconn in the paint. which team will make the most of their adv ? the ft shooting of uconn (not to beat a dead horse) is pathetic overall. think schenser will struggle with oky but he will put pressure on uconn as well. he runs the floor extremely well and he is a very good passer. had a definite height adv against oky st. but i do think he will contribute tomorrow.
