I didn't play either team but.....

I didn't play either team but.....

UConn couldn't make a freethrow the last 3:00 minutes. A #1 team has to be able to make their freethrows. Shows me tonight, Duke is my #1 team

Holy ****ing shit. I was at the bar all depressed that Uconn lost by 5, in the following teaser, I had thought that I had tied which in this case would make it a loser.
I JUST noticed after being home for like 30 minutes that my teaser is alive and looking good.

It isnt enthusiasm, it is people thinking they are being cool and getting on tv. Most of them arent even students.

That enthusiasm paralyzed that kid in Arizona after a high school hoops game, and hurts several other players every year, not to mention the people that get killed by goalposts and so on.

I guess we can just tell those families it is ok, just enthusiasm.

Regardless, if the fools are gonna do it it would occasionally be nice if it were a win that merited it.

I guess people could just not come to games and avoid potential muggings and car wrecks ;) ...

Students/fans have rushed the field as rite of passage forever and it is a big deal to a student/fan to be on field and go crazy ... the Celts did it when they won it all mobbing Bird vs LA ... The Ms went on field when they beat Angels in playoff and all had a good time, management didnt even care ... I think thats a huge stretch saying thay all want to be on TV ... we have different views on this, yours is not to be excited and rain on parade, I say let the kids/fans have fun after paying $50 whatever and watching their teams struggle for years for a championship and/or a big upset ...

if HS kids run on the court after a big win and there is no TV camera, what is their motivation? ;)

yeah... i still think it was kinda unwarrented. we're a #4 team, winning a conference game at home - when we were only 2-3 point underdogs... rushing the court should be saved for a championship game, or an unranked team beating a top 3 team. not a 4 beating a 1.

but hey everybody wants to be able to, and not everyone willg et the chance, so, i don't blame 'em.

i was there, 3rd row behind the net, and couldn't rush the court - in the pep band. so we just played. loudly, and celebrated. muchly
