Paddy lost, but he didn’t hurt himself with the fans or with his future earnings. He stood up and threw and entertained. He took that eyepoke like a champ and didn’t complain nor quit like his countryman tom Ass-pinall. That thumb/eyepoke was nasty and a foul, but Paddy didn’t let it phase him or quit. He’s a true fighter and a “baddy”. Paddy fought a dumb fight (should have gone to the ground and fought a boring jiu jitsu fight), but he entertained the fans and stood and threw and took lots of damage. Unlike tom ass/pinall, I respect Paddy, and it was a great fight. He showed class even while losing. Paddy gained more fans losing than by winning.

Kickserv, nice call on Gaethje. Let’s make the off the wall forum a united fade-a-thon the next time he fights though. He’s going to get ktfo when he’s a chalk his next fight. Going to be a nice 🐕 bet. His opponent by knockout. No matter who fights him, he will be a chalk, and he’s gonna get ktfo like in his fight against Max.
Doesn't change the fact that he sucks as an MMA fighter. He'll lose his next three UFC fights and that will be it for him, it is comical how bad he is. One of the most over-hyped, over-rated fighters the UFC has ever had. Remember if he wasn't British nobody would even know who he is.
Oh and it was only "a great fight" because he was fighting an old and slow dude with a staph infection, if he fought anybody else he would have got smashed in under 5 minutes, he sucks that bad.
He'll retire within the next 1.5 years, not many fights left for him, and I highly doubt he'll be a fave in any of those fights. In fact in his next fight he'll be somewhere around a +600 underdog, when he should be something like +1 million. In next year or so if he fights anybody in the Top 10 in his division he'll be the underdog. The only way he'll be a fave before he retires is if he has one of those "retirement fights" where he faces another guy who is old and slow like he is.
