Mass -5 over Rider
Strong play.I see the number going up.Mass despite not having their pt gd Anderson will win this by double digits.Freeman and co are to quick for Rider.Riders JJ is the only player for the Broncos that can keep up.Castlebury will have trouble vs the Carriors,Lasame,etc.
Chadwick stepped up and had 11 pts replacing Anderson.
Gotta run.Have a few games tonite.Mass beat Davidson by 3 at home w/o Anderson.Davidson is a lot better then Rider.Other then the Northeastern debackle Mass beat Conn at home.There losses are to Zaga and Miami.
MAAC's Rider is stepping up in class tonite.Don't think they have the guns to beat Mass.
Lyr Mass beat them 74-61.I say the score will be almost the same.

UMass -5 over Rider ****
The line has moved up to -6.5 now.Still would play it but maybe not as much.I think its a double digit win.The only problem with high numbers is Mass is terrible at the FT line shooting 60% compared to Rider at 78%.
Mass is 2-1 ats at home and 3-2 overall and rider is 2-0 ats away.Mass is not a very good home fav over the yrs and Rider is not a great away dog.
Rider with Jonhson and Mouton have good gds.But JJ is avg 16 pts and missing shots from all over.Muniz is a nice shooter.Castleburry at 7'0 can't dominate a game.Thompson the frosh is really good.
But Mass although very young are athletic.Freeman was lyr's A-10 rookie of the yr.He was 2nd in the A-10 in rebounding and can score inside.W/o Anderson tonite Bowers will have to step up.He's a 6'4 gd that can slash to the hoop.Maxwell was the frosh lyr that surprised everyone.He needs to hit a few 3's tonite when rider plays that zone.Chadwick will take over for Anderson and I think he'll step up.Viaggiano who probaly won the UConn game is steady.Carrier is the 6'8 kid and Lasame is a 6'8 shot blocker.He is 2nd in the A-10 in blocks.
I'm sure Rider will play at lot of zone w/o Mass's best 3 pt shooter around.But Mass with Freeman are quicker and transition and fast break are on there side.
I hate playing Lappas.He is a good coach during the week but at game time sucks.How ironic but in 30 minuts I'm being picked uped to go see my HS play my buddies HS.My buddy played for Lappas.

Rams are so much better.This frosh are tough.Dunston is a 6'8 stud on the rise.Avg 14 pts and 5 bds.Greene,Osei,and Anderson are all puppies but they run the floor.Ya'akosi is the 6'8 Isreali vet who looks 35 yrs old but is a bruiser inside.
Siena is better then there 2-7.They just beat Youngstown[4 ots] and Iona. But there best player Haddix probaly won't play tonite.He is 1st team all MAAC and there only threat inside the paint.Also Mensah is out.Fisher a local kid has come alive hitting 3's and he's dangerous.Jordan is there only consistent player.Siena has trouble scoring.Rams just got waxed by Nova.But when Fairfield came here 2 weeks ago the Rams beat them 84-68.They beat Iona also.Lost to Holy Cross but HC is good.
I think the Saints are in trouble tonite.ATs throw out.Fordham hasn't been a favorite in awhile.Let alone 6-7 pts.But Whittenburg has some hungry puppies that press and fast break.Think they revenge the Saints from lyr.
