They have had as many NFL talent players in the past 5 years as most any team( of course most of them cheated.)How far they have fallen. Giving up 68 points today at home. Maybe the players are studying too hard and should take some easier courses. Glad I had the over today.

Over is always a safe bet when the Heels take the field. (not as safe as when the Vols take the field though) :scared

The Vols? UNC has tried to be big time for many years and it doesn't seem to work.

The "NFL Talent" isn't on the field. Unlike every other group of cheaters, we actually paid the price of losing a ton of players. And still having a pretty decent season and did put up 50 today in the loss.

And yeah, the defense is horrid. Looks like Bunting is back. But its Fedora's first year and I think he's the right guy for the job, taking over a program in disarray that included last year with Withers who might be the worst coach in div 1 history, although in his defense he was just the interim.

The right guy for the job was Denny Crum but he did not seem to fit the image. I met Bubba the AD and Larry this summer. They are nice guys.

Paying Butch Davis 3 million and letting him bring his sidekick the cheater was not how you become big time.

You didn't answer my question.

I didn't ask you how a football becomes 'big time'.

I asked, what program wouldn't want to be a big time program?

Duke with a decent season in decades and you're a little pumped up. i get it.

In what circumstance would a team not want to be "big time"?

Exactly...and you guys want your guy out.Absolutely laughable how the N&O is rolling with this story. The NCAA could investigate many other programs and find out the same shit. Played golf with Bubba...real deal (was -1 on the front nine!!).

Running off your all time winningest coach DickCrum who had the best winning percentage of any coach of 5 years or more is not becoming big time. Cheating is not becoming big time. Do you know why he was run off? He did not fit the Rams Club image. Beamer almost took the job years ago but he did not like the smell.

I was really young but didn't agree with firing Dick Crum. That said, Mack Brown did one hell of a job over the next decade or so. Torbush wasn't the guy for the job. Bunting was the worst hire in the history of this nation.

Butch Davis....well...

But I do like where the program is going with Fedora. Just gonna take some time to shore up that horrible D.

I went to UNC. I go to Montross father son camp every year. I have been going to Chapel Hill since 1962. Saw Billy Cunnngham score about 43 points on Heyman. Went to many UNC bowls games before your parents conceived you in New Jersey. Unlike you I am a native. Remember your post when Davis was hired? Something about UNC becoming big time? Big time joke is what you meant.

Does being native make you more of an authority? More of a fan? Well, I got my BS, Doctorate and was an all-american athlete at Carolina. Trumps you being born in the state, which required zero accomplishment on your part. since you choose to use that as if it gives your opinion more merit.

I liked Butch Davis at first but then again, anything after Bunting would do. I like Bunting as a person, I know he loves Carolina. He was a good recruiter but I'll never in my life understand how he took the #2 defense in the NATION and as an NFL D-Coord....he turns that defense into an absolute laughing stock.

All that said, can't stand Butch for destroying our program and guys like Marvin Austin should never be forgiven by UNC. Just want to move forward at this point.
