rutgers +7-: agree with my good friend the kcwolf on this one. unc has been less than overwhelming outside the friendly confines of the dean dome. heels have to love squeezing in this road trip to balmy nyc btween xmas and new years. meanwhile, this is the last of a five game series between these two teams, alll lopsided tarheel victories. but the heels were heavy dd favs in all those games, and this will be the scarlet knights best chance to compete , and in nationally spotlighted game.


morehead state -4-: this is the golden flashes first road game since the suspension of carlton guyton, and the loss of his scoing option will make kent somewhat more unidimentional. sure, they covered (barely) youngstown st at home, but the penguins were coming off a second half collapse at nc state and heading into a three week break. morehead is coming off two tough overtme conference losses at ap and tenn st and really needs to right the ship.

North Carolina's men's basketball team, which is scheduled to play Rutgers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, had planned to reconvene in New York City for practice tonight.

But because of the snowy weather, the team was going to practice in Chapel Hill on Sunday night and, the team hoped, travel to New York today, spokesman Steve Kirschner said in an e-mail.

Eight players were in Chapel Hill as of 11 a.m. Sunday.

There will be plenty of UNC fans at the Garden tonight, very popular team in NYC..Rutgers plays hard but without the home court advantage I think this one plays out poorly for them. UNC by double digits.
