A unit is how much you would wager on a normal game. For some it is $25 or $50 or $100. I am a $50 unit player. If I played 4 units it would be a $200 game. Good luck with your picks.

just know that for different bettors the cash to unit eqivalent can be different..like if $316 is a unit to you than you are betting one unit tonite

A "unit" for you should be the amount you typically bet on a game. If you bet $200 per game, then $200 = 1 unit for you. Just a way of showing how strongly you feel about a game without having to mention a dollar amount. A 2 or 3 unit play should be a fairly rare thing. (Bad money management really, to bet 3x or 5x your regular bet).

Where it doesn't make sense and gets misused is when someone says they are betting 10 units on a game. Or lists a whole bunch of picks wagering 5 units, 15 units, etc etc, and never make plays for 1 unit.
