Summary of press-conference:
- Claude Julien is new coach
- Savard knows Claude from way back
- Claude Julien has had an extremely great record wherever he has been
- Therrien will not meet the press today
- Savard feels bad about the decision but feels comfortable with the new direction the team is headed in
My opinion and predictions:
- Great move by the Habs! they are heading in the right direction
- They will get some new blood and live up to their potential
- Czerkawski will start producing
- Audette will get his chance and get back to his normal production level
- McKay will become what he should be, a 3rd or 4th line player
- Young players will have a chance to play if others don't perform (Juneau, Petrov, Brisebois, Dykhuis...) as Julien know the guys that played for him in the AHL
In my book, the Habs are a much better team now than they were and will start winning more games than losing them.
