One thing I've finally realized about CRAPPY closers like Urbina and Mesa -- besides the fact that they cost a lot of us a lot of damn $$$$ -- is that (A) they only have one pitch. A fastball, of course. Which leads right in to problem B Their fastball doesn't scare anybody...they have little to no control with it and it's kinda hard to keep any hitters off-balance when they know a fastball is coming. (Only thing they don't know is exactly where) Plus their pitches have very little movement on them (at least when I am watching) That is not the phucking point of pitching you jack asses!!

Sure every once in a blue moon they try a sorry-ass looking breaking pitch but obviously it's not at all effective. The point here being if you only have one pitch you can EVER get anybody out with YOU SUCK AS A PITCHER!!!!
Couple other quick things before I close this little rant. How many pitches had Lowe thrown? If it wasn't at least 100, no reason for him to be taken out. Can't he throw 115, 120 pitches and be Ok the next time out??? Also is there NOBODY in the Boston and Philadelphia bullpens who could POSSIBLY handle the closer's role instead of Urbina and Mesa

 Or can these guys keep these roles no matter how horrid they continue to pitch?
This type of crap is going to keep me off teams like this in the future. Good bet...shoulda won....but if your closer sucks like this not sure I have any choice any more other than to pass (or fade the team with the bad closer)
