Urgent!! Your computer may not be safe...

Just read in the paper of another way to get rid of the virus so I thought I would pass it along.
1. Physically disconnect the computer from the network or internet connection.
2. Click "Processes" in the "Task Manager" and end the "msblast.exe" process. This is the so-called "Lovscan" infection that has circulated.
3. Do a search of your computer for "msblast.exe" and delete all files by that name.
4. Restart the computer and reconnect to the network or Internet connection.
5. Download and install the patch by Microsoft.

Haven't had the chance to thank you yet for all you've done. I know that I can always check the forums here for advice b/c there are some great guys out here who look after one another and don't mind sharing what they know. Thanks man and best of luck with this years wagering.

I love this general forum because of the diverse group of professionals that can be found in here that are more than happy to help each other out. Take ace's mortgage question for example...in steps high roller to help a brother out. Thats the kind of stuff I'm talking about. You just can't beat info like that. The list goes on - cars, legal, finance, computers, gambling of course, etc. You guys are great!

but geeeeeeeeeezz people, invest in a firewall and anti virus software, please??????
it'll prevent most of the headaches BEFORE they happen.
