So let me get this straight, Dogs - You feel that civilian deaths should not be reported? You expect local reports from the area bombed to completely ignore and leave out information about a 4 year old being blown up? Is that the dreamworld in which you live?

Don't even YOU wonder why they are throwing in "reported childs death" per phone interview from 3rd party and not mentioning how the terrorist that got their asses kicked.

Personally after what happened in Slomlia before--and al-Qaeda # 2 just comming out with tape calling on members to make stand--referring once again to "somes" lack of courage in America--and we go in and bust their ass--and you ask me if I'm not concerned about some muslim reporting that another muslim on the phone said there was a 4 year old killed---the answer is emphatically NO.

P.S. where were the liberals tears for all these civilians and Americans when your look the other way commander and chief did squat----

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

United States embassy bombings

In the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings (August 7, 1998), 257 people were killed and over 4,000 wounded in simultaneous car bomb explosions at the United States embassies in the East African capital cities of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya.[1] The attacks prompted the United States to seek out an organization the assailants could be linked to and prosecuted. Al Qaeda was deemed responsible for the attack, but at the time it was only a loose collection of a few Islamic militants. The U.S.'s efforts to try those responsible for the attack, brought bin Laden and al Qaeda to international attention for the first time, giving the organization its name and portraying it as a large and threatening network of terrorists across the world. This also resulted in the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation placing bin Laden atop its Ten Most Wanted list.[2]

I'm not asking if you are concerned. I know you're not concerend. You just confuse me - you are apalled by what is to be expected. Of course the first reports will be local - I mean that's where the explosion was, wasn't it? Where else are the initial reports supposed to be coming from?

And you highlighted one tiny part of what appears to be a very non-biased article anyway. I just don't know how else you feel it's supposed to be reported at this juncture?

Who the f is shedding tears? A report says a kid may have been killed and you interpret that as the entire liberal media screaming in sorrow while not caring at all about our servicemen who were killed 10 years ago. Please start making sense on this. You are creating an issue where there is none.

I have not heard anyone mention, here or in the media, that they are against bombing Al-Qaida. Once again we have DTB making it sound like his neocon agenda is saving us from the terrorists while everybody else is giving them a hard time.

MSNBC right at the top their article says we may have killed the top Al-Quaida operative in East Africa. Nothing in the headline about civilian deaths. ...I'm failing to see the liberal or Muslim bias, Dogs.

well then, stop with the specious arguments regarding the patriot act and nsa....unless you have some proof that the "slippery slope" is actually turning to ice....

looks like now even china`s getting a bit fed up with the moose-limbs....it was only a matter of time...

""Police said they raided a training camp run by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, or ETIM, in the mountainous Xinjiang region on Friday, killing 18 suspects and arresting 17 others.
"There is a large amount of evidence that shows, including evidence we got from this raid, that the ETIM is associated with international terrorist forces," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao.

He also said that the group "planned, organized and carried out a series of violent terrorist activities in China."

Liu gave no specific details about the alleged evidence or attacks and did not say which overseas terror groups those arrested were linked to. China has said before that ETIM has links to al-Qaida.

China labels ETIM as a terrorist organization, as does the United States.

Song Hongli, director of the general office of the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau, said Monday that one police officer was killed and another was wounded during the raid.

The official China News Service reported the raid occurred in Akto County — an area about 120 miles east of China's border with Kyrgyzstan.

Police seized 22 grenades, parts for 1,500 more grenades as well as guns and handmade explosives, the Xinhua News Agency said.""

something tells me that the geneva conventions will not be applied in this case......

i would say tit for tat....if they don`t play by the rules, then so be it....

what was that line from the untouchables?...."you put one of us in the hospital,we put one of them in the morgue"(remember sean connery with the "bad dentures" lisp).....

btw....it didn`t take the guardian and the a.p. long to slam us on the somalia attack....

""Wedding party hit in Somalia":

"The Associated Press cited witnesses as saying 31 civilians, including two newlyweds, had been killed in the strike, by two US helicopter gunships. Reuters cited a local witness as saying between 22 and 27 people had been killed."

hmmmm?.....u.s. forces must have again used those wedding seeking missiles....didn`t know we had those in the arsenal....

why do you even give a flying fk what the guardian says?

how is reporting that witnesses say we hit a wedding considered a slam against us? if witnesses say we hit a wedding party, are those local stringers supposed to not report that?

yeah....it`s not like they have an agenda or anything......they`re just a vessel thru which information flows......

yeah,that`s the ticket...

"""The Islamists of the Somali Council of Islamic Courts (SCIC), who had taken control of most of south and central Somalia during the latter half of 2006, """""bringing in law and order for the first time in 15 years """", were routed from their urban strongholds, including Mogadishu, by Ethiopian troops at the end of December..."

hmmm, that`s not slanted is it?....they`re talking about slave traders...the most abusive totalitarian society this side of north korea....

the media...in their hatred of the west has sunk to the level of excusing barbarity......i suppose they still believe the taliban brought in "law and order for the first time in xx years" to "lawless" afghanistan... and hizbollah has brought in "law and order for the first time in xx years" to "lawless" lebanon... and and pol pot brought in "law and order for the first time in xx years" to "lawless" cambodia...

they can't just "report the news", but have to colorize it to make the west look like the problem...like we saw with the "faux" tography scandal.....

yeah,that bugs me....

Well, it's pretty amazing. Everything I've seen on our bombings seems quite fair and not anti-US at all. But then again, all I really care about is that information is correct. I couldn't care less about some foreginer's bias. I find it kind of funny that you and Dogs do.

Relax everyone we can't get story out of that area with any truth to it. But here's latest by way of Ethiopia. We shot up at least 4 or 5 guys that's it not any 10 or 20. No woman no children. They are suspected to be alqaida. Only cost to us some gas for planes and 7000 rounds of ammo. I would say we didn't miss who ever they end up being.
And lets remember that 7000 rounds can happen in about 1 minute. Im sure we put a little more into it but hey 7000 should have handled it.

one guy said,"that was not the way it happened....me and him were sitting right there ...I mean, I was in the passenger seat,” Hussain Al-Hadad said. “I must be invisible.”...

WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????!!!!!!

Porn, video games, Miami? Jesus Christ, man. Stay on topic for once in your life. Looks like I made the tragic error of attempting some sort of discussion/debate with you once again. It's obviously completely impossible. I apologize.

damn,bro....easy....

i was just commenting on the general laissez faire attitude most liberals have about security issues.....you know, the bush haters....not to mention the slanted msm....and our judiciary....

i get that it`s no biggie to you....

i took for granted that you read about the set-to at the port of miami...

i just found out that the judge released the guys due to a "lack of evidence" ...and that opens us up to further judicial nonsense, lawsuits and claims of bigotry.....

i wonder how long you can dig underneath your house foundation, before it collapses?....

don`t get that concept either?....

they're undermining our foundations, and attacking all security precautions put in place to protect us from attack....and back to my initial point...they`re getting help from some misguided dems who are trying to undermine things like nsa surveillance and the patriot act..not necessarily to hurt the country..but to try and hurt bush.......sometimes that seems more important than their own safety...

using our own laws, and shovels and labor loaned by organizations like the aclu and cair......

to be fair,i also read that the dems in the house basically pushed through some legislation that forces the checking of ALL containers at ports..and i think airports....

but,i think they know that it`s not fiscally feasible...

smart tactic...pass something that won`t fly...but,it still looks like they`re being tough on the w.o.t......

makes it easier to undermine things that actually are feasible,i guess....like nsa and the patriot act...

maybe i`m being to cynical.....:142smilie

i thought you`d like that one...

.

--and does Al-quada Times --er NYT report headlines on somolia--any guesses on how to turn military positive to negative??
What about em Smuph--

"Airstrike Rekindles Somalis? Anger at the U.S."

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/10/world/africa/10somalia.html?_r=1&ref=africa&oref=slogin

Would anyone who takes time to read their article tell me how terrorist could have scripted it any better--what a pathetic media outlet :nooo:

I'm not registered on the NY Times website and I don't feel like doing it. Perhaps you can copy and paste it? I'm surprised that you're registered there? Or maybe you did your old 'assume what's in there based on the source, writer, wire service, headline or columnist' trick?
