Rachel Corrie. They ran a bulldozer over her. Why? They knew they could get away with it. They knew the America-hating Israel-appeasers at Fox would cover for them.

an accident?....s`at possible?....you place yourself in front of bulldozers and bad things can happen...

what do you think of bush`s policy regarding the west bank?...i know you don`t like the administration...

you think that the upcoming annapolis peace conference in which the administrations goal is to force israel to give up settlements on the west bank(and olmert seems to agree with it)is anti-arab?......

is this a pro-israeli initiative?...does it make them safer?...how does it further israel`s "agenda"(whatever that is other than to keep from getting pushed into the sea)...

btw...lemme be clear....i`m not jewish...so,it`s not personal for me....it`s strictly ideological...

You're on Israel's side. I'm on America's. You ought to be ashamed. That could have been your daughter, your sister, your friend. We send these Jews about 20 million dollars a day. I'll repeat that. We send these Jews 20 million dollars...a...day. A...day. And they can't find it in their heart to physically remove a protester. They just run her over. Who's running our country? Not Americans. Jews and Israel-appeasers.

My opinion is we'd be best served with a foreign policy based on minding our own business. I don't want my tax dollars used to provide guns and money to Israel so that it can murder innocent people. Israel, and our subsidizing of its terrorism, have made us hated around the world.

if i accept your premise that a "jewish businessman" was involved in selling nuclear triggers to pakistan, how does that reflect on the state of israel?.....:SIB ..wth,they`re all apes and pigs anyway,eh,neidermeier?....

how much do we send the pali`s?........quite a bit, methinks(more than 1.7 billion since 93`...more than any other country)......

one wonders why they can`t show some progress...with all the u.s. aid and all the aid they receive from their oil rich brethren.......

maybe because the powers that be(hamas and fatah) are to busy lining their own pockets with the aid that`s supposed to go to the people(an old saddam trick)?.....and killing each other...matter of fact, hamas stated that they will take over any land that israel agrees to cede to fatah and use it as a launching pad to hit israel......

the religion of peace?....lol...

rachel corrie(god rest her soul) unfortunately for her was a moonbat to the nth degree who stood in front of bulldozers(not the sharpest knife in the drawer).......the logical conclusion?......go play in traffic,neidermeier....see what happens....

maybe the world will do as you say and "mind their own business" regarding iran and their quest for nuclear weapons(as europe did with hitler).....

the logical conclusion of reason abandoned....

i would say that once iran secures 'the bomb' that you can move the doomsday clock to 11:59:59 (but somehow some muckin' forons i know think that iran has the right to take the world to the brink)........

guys, don`t try and follow neidermeir`s pretzel logic.....it will bruise your brain.....

How long have you hated America, gardenweasel?

:nooo:

let me school you a little neidermeier...you seem like an o.k. guy...just a tad skewed....

once iran goes nuclear, which is likely in 2009 (or sooner, depending on how many thousands more centrifuge cascades come online), the doomsday clock will hit midnight..they very well may not bother with a celebration or announcement....

the announcement may be a mushroom cloud over one of their enemy's cities or countries......

it might be tel aviv....directly from them.....or it might be a u.s. city via their proxies al qaeda or some offshoot.....

or,under the cover of a proxy, it could be baghdad. saudi arabia. bahrain. uae. kuwait. amman. cairo.....even a major european city.....

what makes iran so dangerous is that they're playing with a different set of rules.....m.a.d. depended on two countries who were rational and played by the same rules.....that`s why, when you think about it,we should all miss the old soviet union....at least they were rational...

m.a.d. doesn't apply when one nation thinks it rational to blow everyone up to satisfy an ideological position ... the religious visions of their leadership......to them, it would be completely rational to nuke enemy cities, even if it meant the complete and utter destruction of iran because they'd be fulfilling their religious obligations......

diplomats continue to make this mistake in thinking that the iranian leadership has the same goals as we do.....

this isn't north korea's l'il kim, who is using nukes as a means of extortion to continue his rule....his gameplan is to continue his cozy life while everything goes to hell in his country....

ahmadinejad and the mad mullahs have a different sort of future in mind......the 12th imam etc...this ideoloogy of subjugating women, killing homosexuals.....banning of music and entertainiment..indoctinating children into the ideology of genocide and ethnic hatred......this religious fanatacism........it`s like a horror film where you peek into the killer's skull and it's filled with writhing, festering worms instead of a brain....

you want to roll the dice?.....i don`t...

I come down on the same side on this one gw. It is not tolerable to allow Iran to go nuclear. We need to build the consensus among our European allies, coerce Russia and China to go along, and then execute tactical strikes without any sort of ground invasion.

not sure whether my brother `wocky is being facetious(;) we don`t agree all that often).... but,i respect his opinion.....

i guess my point in a nutshell is that when you`re dealing with people who want to live in the afterlife, basic western approaches to deterrence don't work...and that scares me....

not an ounce of sarcasm here gw, I agree with you wholeheartedly on this one. I think the only real question is how to accomplish what has to be done is the most efficient and effective way possible.

Here's a refresher course on why that's a, pardon the pun, "pipe dream."

Sorry so many links.

Don't make fun of the last source if you're willing to use Fox or the NYT. Our geopolitical manuevering over the last 20yrs is coming home to roost.

"Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out" is just a fancy, glamorized paraphrase of Purim or the 12th imam.

We had better consider open dialogue as a better option that unilateral bullying. We don't really have the juice we once possessed. The sooner our executive branch and State Dept come to that conclusion, the better off everyone will be, because its starting to resemble Little Big Horn.

nobody`s saying "kill `em all".....what i`m saying is that there are no really good options and that we`re dealing with a total unknown here......we`re dealing with zealots that don`t process issues in the same manner as westerners....particularly life and death issues........

they`re not giving up their quest for nukes...period...you can talk till you`re blue in the face, but, that`s off the table... they`ve stated as much....

if you believe that saddam never had nuclear weapons and bluffed his way to his own demise, then a good reason for his decision was intense fear of iran...

i can't remember who said it..., maybe someoe else saw it,but, but a representative of iran(i think)has already blatantly come out and said that they do not fear a nuclear exchange, because a nuclear strike on israel would do more damage to israel as a whole than a strike on the middle east, which would leave most of the middle east untouched......

obviously, lack of knowledge of fallout patterns, e.m. pulses, overpressure waves, hell everything to do with any strategic nuclear strike is astounding to me.....most of the current generation, ourselves included, have no actual idea what a strategic nuclear weapon does......we know it ephemerally, we've seen the videos, heard the accounts.....in some cases studied the effects.....but we lack the vital part of knowledge; experience......

in a post nagasaki/hiroshima world, we don't really know what a nuclear strike on any target in the world would really be like......

and excuse me but, the fact that these dark-age zealots in the sandy asshole of the middle east for damn sure have no idea what they're pissing on about as they flail their hands in the air, scares me very much.....

sticking our heads in the sand...ala europe in the lead up to ww2,isn`t good enough in a nuclear world...

and no......i don`t have the answer..

Man.....I don't either, GW.

Of course you're correct about not sticking our head in the sand, but our plan isn't working anymore. The antagonists are economically viable. there is no stick behind behind our carrot anymore

Maybe just heat up Russia and China to lean on 'em for us, but that doesn't look plausible. Might hear it announced publicly, but they will keep providing the Iranians weapons, cash, and infrastructure help to keep the oil flowing. The more they align themselves together, the more tenuous our position becomes until you can't move on Iran at all.

Can't muscle China; the trade deficit with them is irreversible and they are bankrolling our debt. Got 8-10 more years w/Putin after he puts his prime or foreign minister into the top slot and sticks around to pull strings.

Just can't dick around playing checkers anymore, when the rest of them are playing chess.
