Isn't it too bad that our leadership decided to pull the fight away from Bin Laden, so his words still mean so much to the terror cause? Dare to dream about what could have happened had we stayed the course and tried to win THAT fight?

Two thoughts: first of all, I think most people eventually determine which party best reflects their personal views, and that makes sense. Especially with the Presidential race, those ideals should be very important in your ultimate vote - as the President sets the agenda with the nomination of judges, and changing or continuing the makeup of the Supreme Court. Above all else, if you hate the candidates, you should keep that in mind, IMO.

I consider myself a democrat because I understand and respect the values that the party usually stands for. I have voted Republican in some instances, when I have a good feeling about the person, and what things they bring out that are important that may stray in some cases. I honestly think a balance of the two party ideal systems is a good thing for the country, so the two party system does and can work - with both sides represented and keeping a balance of ideas alive.

There are some democratic ideals that I don't care for, and some republican ones that I do like. But most of the time I side democratic. I don't think that complete, ongoing control of one party is a good thing, though.

I'd be open to looking at a viable third party, and controlling financial impacts on politics. Term limits may have to be a strong consideration in breaking the hold pork and money have on our current system, despite losing some competent and quality people in some areas. I'd guess we'd find other decent folk to replace them, and if they knew they were done in a couple terms, there certainly would be less at stake politically and financially for them individually.

We certainly are in same boat on thought process Chad--just lean a tad in diff directions.

He doesn't get it. He thinks being an American is blindly following your leader. His patriotism is the kind that the Nazi party needed to make their move in the 1930s. Blind allegiance.

not blind party loyalty...i`m not a mccain fan...i guess you didn`t get those talking points...

if there`s blindness here,it`s the bds that`s infected the feeble minded...and it`s morphed into an anti-americanism that`s frightening at best, pathetic in the least....

i`m admittedly puzzled by many on here...behavior is always a summation of competing wishes and inhibitions, most of which are unconscious.....

when folks make a great show of their personal piety yet their manifest behavior is often damaging to others(our military/our country`s best interests), i wonder if they`re expressing forbidden unconscious wishes in ways that are disguised...("don`t question my patriotism,dude")...

you`re like a bunch of little jimmy carters...and spy is like hamas...hell,spy may be hamas...lol

carter`s now meeting with hamas... who wants the genocide of israel...in damascus,, the capital of a terror supporting and enabling state which oppresses its own people in ways that the left's fantasies of the bush administration's tortures cannot even approach.....

the strange mental contradiction of the left..well intentioned?...maybe....but,very dangerous that they can be led like sheep because of political indoctrination by the liberal media and the spythewebs of the world...

and then there are the spy`s of the world.. people who are particularly adept at stirring up others to rage.....

the radical islamists are particularly talented in stirring up their followers into manic rage against those who they believe have threatened their religion....

spy`s imams, of course, are men of peace representing the religion of peace, yet their followers commit egregious acts of violence and mayhem in their name......

and spy`s out here doing his part...his due diligence...death counts...anti-american article after anti-american article....and the sheep nod their heads...."can`t happen to us...we`re safe, this is america".....

tools...

and we have learned "academics"(gmro) and media people operating above their level of comprehension explaining how we`re the bad guys and the violence perpetrated world-wide by these fanatics actually equates to peacefulness....

buncha` jimmy carters...and we`ve seen this act before...the "they haven't taken my head yet...
/kill me last" mindset exhibited by the "neville chamberlain`s" of the world(neville met with hitler, and that worked out very well, didn`t it?....theres your hitler analogy....lol)....paving the way to the removal of the westernized shah of iran for ayatollah khomeini......

and then here we are....and jimmy`s still at it..

god help us....

wow..you are totally insane. Who is Hitler is your fantasy world? And while I am asking, who are we at "war" with?

who are we at war with?? ..........you moonbats really crack me up.......

you also have short memories......does 9/11/01 ring a bell???.........that day we were attacked by afghan.....ummm....ira.....ummm...saudi arab....oops, definitely not that one.....

well, we were attacked by 19 fanatics with box cutters.......so we are at war with every last one of the billion crazed muslims worldwide.....those psychos would just as soon lop off your head as look at ya....that's why we attacked, destroyed and are occupying one of the few previously secular nations......oh, wait a minute....

what i meant is that Saddam with all his palaces and posturing and nasty weapons...oh, wait... was exactly like hitler racing across europe...... thank god people like you weren't in charge in 1941.....we'd all be speaking german....or japanese....or some weird hybrid of the two.....

back in those days, people had the courage and patience that folks today couldn't even begin to understand....the nation came together back then....unlike today when people just protest because they have all the time in the world because they aren't employed.....this has become a country of lazy moonbats......

hell, if we didn't go to vietnam and show those commies who was boss, we'd probably be speaking vietnamese.....wait, bad example....but what about all those hippies...and the NERVE of congress shutting that bad boy down after 12 disastrous years......but if we hadn't gone, communism would have spread like wildfire....oh, nevermind.....

well, i know one thing.....if we don't attack Iran, and fast, we're gonna get nuked.....because iran is the real threat over there in the middle east....to who are they a threat? not sure, but condi and w say they are bad, bad people on the verge of launching a nuke ......the nie estimate says the opposite, but you saw how accurate they were in regards to iraq...hahaha

so i hope that clears up who we are at war with........you would think even the blindest of moonbats should be able to see that!!..........

In the words of UBL--America can never win war on terror--they don't have stomach for prolonged battle--

He's certainly read a lot of folks correctly--

--unforunately for them he's been been wrong past 8 years--and paid the price.
We'll see how next 8 years turn out :SIB

America can't win the war on terror, She has to limit the damage; contain it. The war on terror won't end with the wave of a white flag. This is not World War II. This is not the 40's. The war on terror is like the war on drugs, the war on education, the war on poverety, the war on liberty, the war on government corruption, the war on child abuse, the war on American apathy, the war on sexisim, the war on racism, the war on stupidity, the war on _____..... For anyone to think that a win in Iraq and it's over is wishful. The war on terror goes on and on and on and on . It's part of US, just like the other wars we have misunderstood and tryed to conquer, have assed ! This is the hardest war America has ever faced. You can't win a war when you don't understand the enemy and the picture. As time passes: wanna be patriots, make their deals with their devil, make their deals with death, while the good die young. There is no way to justify this. We are not safer because of the sacrifice that We don't deserve. Our Fellow Americans have given enough. Our Government let us down before and after 911. It's time for the rest of us to take our Country back and take our chances !

We need a call; not to arms but to conscience. Where are the Patriots ? The loyalist have been heard from. Are there enough of Us to stop this treason ? I don't think so ... The people that think it does't matter how the rest of us are socialized and educated will die like the Romans. Don't look out out for those beneath you because you have a heart. Extend a hand up, beacuse it will save your ass. Civilizations are better, when the bottoms are closer to the top.

Very valid point Bryanz--on winning--but sometimes winning can be defined as not losing or contoling losses
--we'll have to disagree on safer--
unless you liked Hussein (Saddam) in power-taliban still running pakistan and afgan-lybia and yemen as terrorist havens
UBL & crew with his frequent flyer miles and get out of jail free card.

--and our fellow Americans -bless them -have volunteered to protect you and continue to do so.

Maybe you'd feel safer with fellow americans--all having the Haskel syndrome instead

Good. Outstanding stuff. Saddam had to go. No question. Totally worth draining the kids' college fund. The kids can get jobs out of high school like great-grandpa did. And the taliban, oh what awful folks, tough to spot in a crowd, must be dealt with harshly. We must keep the oil pipelines flowing. And Lybia, a fearsome bunch. But we can't run our navy on solar power. UBL? we don't care so much about him...he doesn't really matter that much.
