Weasy, all I'm saying is that people should be able to post without the shit storm coming down on them every time. He makes a post and gets ripped....and most of it has nothing to do with his post. It's shameful, childish behavior. Even more curious, he's usually posting stories with links! His offensive posts are tied to something he found on the net.

Bottom line, as long as he's not attacking forum members he should be left alone. If you think his beliefs are BS, attack those, and here is a thought, EXPLAIN WHY. Name calling is the easy way out.

gmroz... I'm still kinda new around here but I really don't understand the hatred so many guys in this political forum seem to have for Spytheweb. Maybe there's some history there that I'm not aware of but the animosity directed at him seems to go way beyond political ideology.

check his past posts...you`re a smart guy...it`s pretty obvious where he`s coming from...and i`ve made my stance on him,and others like him that troll the net with the intent of turning sentiment against this country very clear...he doesn`t fool me for a second.........

we can all disagree on issues and policies and the like...but to continually post troop death counts......ghoulishly revelling in horrific events inside the country(mass murder etc) ..belittling this country at every turn....a constant drumbeat of anti-american propaganda...

i take issue with him...and i don`t mince words when it comes to this quisling...

It's pretty simple. Spy posts left-wing articles that the right-wingers don't have rebuttals for. Since a lot of his stuff comes from news sources (some are definitely left wing) there really isn't room for anything but an intelligent response defending your view OR insults. This forum has chosen the latter. Some of our members have convinced themselves that Spy is a terrorist posing as an Air Force retiree on a gambling forum. Yep, they are that pathetic.

I think religion is stupid. Here's my story of religion in my life. One day my mom comes home and announces that we are going to become Jehovah's Witnesses, i said i don't want to be no Jehovah's Witness. She beat my ass. That's my introduction to religion.

For the past 8 years the Bush government has shaped the sheep's thinking about religion. Just think, during the Vietnam war what religion were the North Vietnamese? Who cared? Bush/Cheney pushed this religion angle to get more of you to accept it and anything they did, and it worked.

Think about the crime in the US, how much of it is done by christians? 99.9? Rapes, murders, robberies? Wallstreet investors how many are christians? Bankers? Just a few days ago a pastor was arrested for murdering a homeless man for a life insurance policy he had put on him, praise the lord and pass the collection plate. I don't like it when people knock on my door pimping the bible in the US. How do you think these people feel when maybe a family member or a friend is killed by the US and the next day troops show up pushing the bible?

being that you`re against "religion"...hows about defining your position regarding islam?....you`ve volunteered your disdain for christianity time and again...

You do understand that I DO NOT BELIEVE IN SUPREME BEINGS, right?? I could care less that you do not believe in "god", as you put it, but the fact remains that you come off as arrogant to me. Believe it or not, religious people are not necessarily dumb or naive. That's not to say that I want a religious fanatic running the country ever again.

It's evident that you are a relatively bright guy, and in all likelyhood we would get along well in the 'real world' because of your willingness and ability to intelligently discuss a wide variety of interesting topics. Apparently, Obama's bought into the idea that with full withdrawal, he'd be seen as soft on foreign policy. It's understandable though. I mean this guy's fighting so many battles on so many levels, I can't imagine the kind of pressure he must be under.

Well, of course from an idealogical standpoint, I agree with you. Redeploying troops from Iraq to Afghanistan will in the end accomplish nothing except add more bloat to our National Debt. In spite of this, the chickenhawk neoconservatives will continue to support these wars and the massive defense spending that goes with them, which of course, goes to the very heart of their neoconservatism.
