Congrats especially to those who were on USC ML. It was an easy call, as it turned out. :D This thread is what makes MJ's so great. Keep the good work everybody!

Thanks guys. That was an impressive victory and I predicted USC to win double digits and i gave my reasons why. I was called a homer, and was told i was not good for madjacks (some guy who roots for texas). My predicted score was 24-13 USC win, i was close. I did not think the USC defense would shut out AU, but i know for sure no defense in the nation comes close to USC defense. Very impressive win against a GREAT AU TEAM. I think AU has chance to run the table, and maybe contend for NC. AU is great team, USC is just better (as i stated before the game). The scary part about USC is as i quote Pete Carroll, "We're just getting started."

I can't wait for the line to come out against BYU. If USC favored by less than 20pts, i am jumping all over it.

I hope and think USC should be favored #1 after this weekend. Miami played Louisiana Tech (and backed out of playing USC this year, next year, and the following year, LOL and they say they play anyone anywhere, lol), Oklahoma plays North Texas (and tried to back out of playing UCLA, lol), USC plays #6 AU. Big difference, and USC does not try and get easy w's. Only Ohio St. IMO deserves to be ahead of USC because they are defending title and played ranked Washington team.

Great game, and AU fans are classy fans and i wish them the best and I will be rooting for AU to run the table rest of season. GOOD LUCK and FIGHT ON! Go War Eagle too!

23-0

USC wants Miami or OU on USC schedule next year, we have an open date for a home and away, no excuses. Step up to the plate.

Now its time for me and Trojan fans to party. :)

Scott,

Are you calling me out?? Bring it on! Who said I cheered for Texas? Do you know me personally? You are a rookie on the board and your crap won't go far around here calling people out. Don't hide in someones thread, come right into my thread. If you think you are such a great capper cap every conf. not just one team. Great, your team won one game. So are you going to hide???????

1) USC D looked great! But I saw a lot of Auburn receivers running free in the secondary. Pac 10 QB's wont miss as often as Auburn did on those open looks. I see a fall in pass happy Pac 10 conference play.

2) Auburn did an excellent job on D. Without the short turnover-aided scores, SC only had 2 scoring drives over 4 plays (both for fg's). I will definitely look to the under first when the Tigers play later this year.

3) New OC Nall failed miserably here. No official count, but, it seemed like Auburn stopped running the ball from mid-2Q to mid-3Q. Only 20 handoffs to a RB all game. He placed his OL at a disadvantage v Carroll by passing so much early in this game. SC's pro-style stunts completely confused their blocking schemes. Auburn OL a major weakness for this team. The talent at the skill positions was evident to me even though the Tigers were shut out. QB Campbell showed flashes & should play better when asked to do less. Ditto for the OL.

4) USC QB Leinart threw into a lot of tight spaces, and made some bad decisions when pressured. He also seemed to be fixated on Williams. Kerry Colbert (only 2 rec. for 13yds) showed some frustration in his body language, and wasn't going full speed when he dropped a sure TD pass in the 3Q. Leinart will need to get him more touches.

Not ready to pencil the Trojans into the title game, also not ready to give up on the Auburn Tigers.

There are a couple things you need to keep in mind about this game.

1. SC had 7-8 in the box all night. They will not do that in Pac 10 play. They will not face a better running team all year.

2. The SC offense was on a very very short leash yesterday. They were playing a conservative game. It is about all you can do for a first game with a brand new qb & a brand new backfield. They played error free & that is all they will need to do with this D.

This will be a team to watch. They have now covered 9 straight & the last 4 by double digits.
