Scott-

Are you sure the PAC10 has won more BCS games since 2000 than any other conference. I can only think of 3 off the top of my head. I know 3 teams in the SEC has won the Sugar Bowl the past three years...

I agree that sportsbooks love players who make future wagers. However, I seem to have a lot of success with them. This latest USC future bet is a half season bet. If you think USC will get to the Orange Bowl, then this bet is a NO BRAINER! Yes USC can get upset on the way there, but not likely to happen. I also agree USC will get upset by OSU if OSU plays perfect game and USC is sloppy.

I think USC is the best value to make $$$. CAL needs 3 things to happen to get into the BCS title game. #1 AU lose, #2 OU lose, #3 win out. Very tough and very unlikely. Not a great wager IMO.

I think USC would be -3 to -7 favorites vs AU or OU. If USC is -3 or less I will add $$$ to my already large future wagers. I like USC's chances more against AU than OU. CAL would be the toughest opponent for USC and Wiscy would be a cakewalk. USC would be Wiscy by 30pts IMO.

You are right that the cupboard was not left bare for Carroll but things were not great when Carroll arrived. USC always had talent but not team talent. USC also was not disciplined AND would play to the competitions level. That has all changed and next year will be Carroll and Chows first complete team with their athletes they brought in being experienced.

Yes the Pac 10 has won more BCS bowl games than any conf. since 2000. From the top of my head, I think Washington, Oregon, Oregon St., and USC all won BCS bowl games since 2000.

Amen Franky. Though the road game at Iowa has me a little concerned as does the Mich St. game if Stanton is back.

And not one word about Wisconsin

i think thats because theyre not even the best team in the big 10, let alone the country. its not their fault that the big 10 schedule was quirky this year, but they are lucky regardless, because michigan would handle them by at least a TD imo

Oh and BTW, those futures bets you made are a sportsbooks dream. I for one don't do futures. They (sportsbooks) love players that make those kind of bets FWIW....

Well they must love me and I love them.............I had the Pistons at 22-1 and The Red Sox at 5.5-1.........its about they only winning I have had this year

mav, i agree in some ways and im sure UR right overall ... LY i had USC 20/1 for $100 (which is a huge future bet for me) but anyhow, after getting screwed I still had the entire year to hope, scream and cry and found I didnt need to bet as much in some ways ... thats the one good option for futures to some, they might not bet at all cept for those (plus U can always middle and get guaranteed money; i.e. i took oh st 5/1 the same year they played canes who i had 5/1 for the marbles--and thank god i did after that phantom PI call)... Plus, future only players prob lead much happier gambling lives than the junkies like me hehe ;)

take care my man

Scotty-boy, let's don't pick a random starting point. Let's start at the beginning...looks like the SEC and Big 10 have both won their fair share too...four a piece.

...looks like the SEC has played in 9 BCS games and the PAC-10 only 8...and that's considering that the Rose Bowl only took PAC-10 and Big 10 schools for a few years. Give me a break.... :142lmao: :142lmao:

BCS Wins Since 2000

Pac 10: 5 BCS wins
Big 10: 4 BCS wins
SEC: 4 BCS wins
Big 12: 3 BCS wins
Big East:3 BCS wins
ACC: 1 BCS win

The reason for my sig is many posters here feel the Pac 10 is weak and other conferences are superior. My statement in my sig proves them wrong and shows how silly and bias their opinion is. I did not say the Pac 10 is the best conf. My argument has been that the Pac 10 is one of the strongest conferences in the last 4 years combined and many here feel differently. Of course those who disagree with me have provided zero support behind their opinion. :)

"I will always wonder how a conference (Pac 10) that has won more BCS Bowl Games than any other conference since 2000 isn't considered one of the strongest. Facts are usually not enough for the delusional!"

Well that's convenient! You start in 2000????? BOTH the SEC and BIG TEN won 2 BCS games that year to give them EACH Six Wins vs FIVE for PAC 10.

Granted, if you only go back to 2000, PAC 10 is first, but if you start when the BCS started, BIG 10 and SEC are 1 and 2.

I will give credit where it's due though, PAC 10 is NO SLOUCH. They've been getting tons of great players out here for the past 4 years or so, so look for them to remain a NCAA POWER for some time.

The difference between you and me is I state my opinion and then support it. You just just give your opinion.

well its not only that, but the Pac10 has no BCS title to show for it. this year it could turn around obviously. SEC has the most wins since the inception of the BCS but i belive the Pac 10/Big 10 are tied for 2nd place, i could be wrong.
