USC vs Wisc.....

I went bk and looked at Usc's opponents and Wisc's opponents...
If u throw out scores against Mia-Oh and Rutgers, Wisconsin's 2 big games they scored 31 against Maryland and Minnesota... and beat mighty Hawaii 28-0... at Wisconsin.
They managed 7 vs Nwstn and 6 vs Iowa (both losses).

USC played Stanford and scored 31 both times.. scored in the low 40's against Ariz St, Notre Dame, Utah, and UCLA. I know Wisconsin is supposed to be strong on defense, but they gave up 24 to Maryland, and 21 to Minn... I think USC will do a bit better than that.

I don't think the Big 10 (or SEC for that matter) face much in the way of passing attacks...
and.... USC's defense is not very stout... many teams moved the ball on them this year, but these are teams with balanced attacks... I'm not so sure about Wisc offensive ability...but I know USC can score, speed at talent positions and a good, experienced QB... they will score imo.

USC Fans: Buddy W... subcloser (2x)... Jord20... fla (4x)... ME... raymond... others? tulah I'd guess
USC Touts: Rainman (3x)... Power Sweep (3*)... Northcoast (4*)... Lang (20)... Pointwise (6*)...Larry Ness (10* weekly wipeout winner 35-16 this yr)

Wisc Fans: S. Philly Shark...
Wisc Touts: Gold Sheet (27-26).... M. Lawrence (5* BGOM)... Cokin (2*)... Gavazzi... Fezzik if u get +4...

OVER Fans: I'm leaning that way.. but not sure yet lol

UNDER Fans: a LOT of em... #cruncher... gavazzi... Hawkeye (lean)... turndown4watt... CBS picks...Idabdou...

As a public service I am announcing that I have a couple bucks on the Trojans. This allows everybody plenty of time to get on the other side. I've had the poorest football season since I began eating solids.

Lord,

Nice thread but strange you didn't mention that Wisky played Bama OOC. Got whipped but still builds some character and the game wasn't the trashing that Bama puts on some teams. USC played tough schedule and is very capable but never seems to play to capability.

Roger, Wisconsin has been a solid program for decades I know... I'm surprised they're not bringing their former coach and AD (Barry Alvarez) back for another bowl coaching stint lol.

I saw they had opening game vs Bama, (lost 35-17?).. but was looking for signs of their consistency over the course of the season... I don't remember seeing much of them this yr, but they have a solid defense (according to the stats) and don't seem to score a lot.

My point is that SC has scored a lot... many times in fact.

I've got a parlay working to USC ml, so I'll do a little hedge on Wisc ml and +4...

and I'm still leaning on the Over lol

Enjoy the game!!

Also Wisconsin's defense has gone against an average offense of 24ppg; while So Cal has gone against an average offense of 33ppg. Based on FBS opponents.

I think what we are seeing in the bowl season is that some conferences just don't play defense. So far the Big Fraud is playing pretty good D!
