Something tells me that the people who are posting that my words represent everything they hate about people in "SoCal" don't even live in the city of Los Angeles. Typical suburbanites...

Your so right Nick, I live in Long Beach which I am sure you will just roll your eyes reading that and ask yourself why you even waste the muscles in your eyes reading what ignorant hicks think about such a splendid individual as yourself.

Skipper,

Texas was better than USC on January 5, 2006. 7 out of 10 of the rest of the days of the year, USC was better. Texas won their championship fair and square just like George Mason won the 2006 Washington D.C. regional over Connecticut fair and square.

You must have missed the interception young threw that would have giving USC the game but the refs pulled their bullshit which let Texas continue their drive. If this doesn't happen this horrible call USC wins. Texas deserves it as much as Ohio State did when another refs turned a championship around. Neither team deserved it and rightfully should not have won but that is life in sports when gambling is involved.

anyone who claims that unforced turnovers are not part of the game has CLEARLY NEVER PLAYED THE GAME OF FOOTBALL. its a team sport, requiring precision, and the teams that play it best do not make the turnovers. teams practice endlessly so that simple moves become second nature and can be executed under pressure situations.

when someone makes a "silly" mistake, it is because he lost concentration. who knows why? maybe he is an idiot (should have taught him better or recruited better players), maybe his mind was elsewhere because the defense confused him (should have been coached better), maybe his hands were too slippery (get better gloves), maybe, maybe, maybe. the bottom line is that all teams make silly turnovers, and better teams make less.

in every game, there are certain mistakes that each team can point to. for example, in the michigan-osu game, osu gave up the two silly fumbles, but...

1. michigan gave up two ridiculous fluke td runs

2. henne missed manningham running 10 steps past the nearest defender - a turnover equivalent

and most importantly...

3. crable got called for a preposterous personal foul trying to run down a running quarterback at full speed on the most important play of the game. ohio st. was on the ropes there, if they punt, they certainly could have lost.

regardless, it doesnt amont to a hill of beans because the final was 41-38 and that is all that matters. not a horrible result at the #1 team in the country. oh right, we dont reward teams for "LOSING" - didnt usc lose, did i miss that?

certainly better than getting housed by the beavers or needing some help from the zebras to hold off washington.

the idea that any or either of these one loss teams is more deserving than the others is completely flawed. just makes for interesting water cooler chatter and a larger push for a playoff.

I live in Simi Valley Nick the Dick, work in Alhambra,
fully aware of people of your illness. I'm not like
you, nor do I care to be. You live in the fake world
I live in the real world. You and Scott4USC have to
come on the internet and pound your chest
because you can't do it in the real world. USC
football doesn't have a damn thing to do with you
two losers. I admire the team, you and Scott make
me puke. Way to many of you worthless little
spoiled brats living off mommy and daddy. You
seem to think that being associated with USC
makes you a winner. Would like to be around
when reality sets in.

I say take the points - buy it to 14. This is scary similar to the situation 2 years ago when these teams played and UCLA outplayed USC and almost pulled off the upset. Major opportunity for a down game from the Trojans. They've had to get up for 3 straight big time games all at home. UCLA has had 2 weeks to prepare and are at home. UCLA already knows what bowl its going to so has absolutley nothing to lose and everything to gain by beating their rivals. Exact opposite for USC.

UCLA's D should keep them in the game - it will be one of the best D's USC's O has seen all year. UCLA wont score much on Of, but I see a 24-17 type of game myself. Turnovers will be the key and as Johnnyb mentioned, UCLA is very good in that department. Despite great stats on the year, Booty has had some brutal stretches of bad decisions turning into TO's vs ASU and ND. Both those D's are flat out awful.

If I didn't live and die with SC, I'd be on the under, UCLA + the points and a little shot on UCLA ML parlayed to the under = very nice payout.

Not bad

Look at all these haters come in after watching from the sidelines all season long just waiting for a USC hickup. Its amazing how everyone is just ready to jump in with the hate but its sad thats the best you could do after probably preparing for this all year long.

USC "Hickup" was losing to an unranked beavers team earlier in the season.

Losing to Bruins and flushing your National Titles hopes down the toilet is a lil more than a hickup

And I havent seen you make a single post this year about USC, so I geuss you were standing there on the sidelines with us
