That's what i'm hoping for...Looks like Utah St. was a laughing stock before he got their and now they look very good so hoping it will work out well.
His teams know how to play D and that will be huge for his transition to the Big Ten!
of course not, he doesn't have the benefit of inheriting the great teams Alvarez left.

Guys a solid coach and a solid guy. I live in Utah and making that team relevant is nothing short of miraculous. Worked with Urban Meyer for a couple of years and made a great call playing this Chuckie Keaton as a frosh. Wisky won't miss a beat.
Like what i'm hearing from all of you....Well except Bluechip with his NO 3 straight years of Rose Bowls...Dumb comment there. I saw what he did with Utah St. the last few years and i'm very impressed for sure. They were a laughing stock before he got their and 11 wins this year?? sweet...Should be very exciting for sure.
Would you like to wager that they dont go to three straight rose bowls in this coach's Wisconsin tenure?

Their only strength?? So Bret Bieliema is the only strength Wisconsin has? Anderson is a solid coach and Wisky is solid program. No one will go to the Rose Bowl 3 strait times so what is your point?
Yes. Their only strength is a physical run game. That will be diminished. My point is that this is a downgrade. The original post was asking for opinions, but it doesn't look like anyone wants them.

Good point Roger..Bluechip is talking out of his butt. Why would i wager they don't go to 3 straight Rose bowls?? How many teams go to 3 straight of the SAME BCS bowl?? NONE EVER
Gary is a very good hire but I hope the Wisky BOT and Barry decide to give their ACs more money, because being underpaid as an assistant, many of those coaches the last 3 years have left the program for better pay and upside.
Gary will have a lil better facilities than what he had at USU but he'll have a big fight on his hands to get top notch kids unless he has solid assistants and someone able to help him recruit.

3 straight rose bowls is misleading - the only reason they get this third shot is because the better teams in the conference are ineligble.
