Utah St/New Mexico St. (nickel post)

hey guys just started looking at this one.

Not sure if I can put money on either of these teams, but may play New Mexico St. based on some stats I saw.

New Mexico St. can really run the ball well 227 yards a game 6th in the counrty!!!! very suprising to me!!!! Utah St. ranks 72nd in the nation against the run giving up close to 160 a game. On the road they rank 80th giving up close to 190 a game, while New Mexcio St. averages close to 260 a game at home, ranking 9th in the nation.

Think with this being a Thursday night game and not to much on the board this game will see a lot of action and feel a lot of steam will be on Utah St. as consensus would feel they are better team.
look at the line movement:
UTAH ST. 1 1?/2/2?
NEW MEXICO ST. 55? 55


Look at some common opponents:
Utah St. beat both Md Tenn St and Ark St easily 41-20 and 49-0
while New Mexico St. lost to both outright 35-17 and 24-21!! This might factor into alot of peoples decision.

Think with these teams you can throw records and common opponents out the window, think New Mexcio will be able to run at will and get the win here!!!

Lean toward New Mexico St. hope it goes to 3 or even 3.5

Thanks for the stats, but just some input, this is a must win game for Utah St. if they want to have a chance for the conference title. Granted they have not won on the road yet this year, but Mew Mexico St. has not won at home either!

Yes I did look at that angle Utah St. 3-1 and New Mexico St. 1-4.

But still you call this a must win for Utah St. can you really put this on the shoulders of a team such as Utah St. ranked 102nd in the nation??

Like I with these two records really mena nothing to me

FYI-NMS did get a home win, I believe in week 2 a 48-3 route over national powerhouse Western New Mexcio

Your right, my mistake they do have 1 home win. This game might not mean anything to you, but to these two teams it means a great deal.

oh i'm sure both teams are up for the game, the point I am making is that when you have two teams this bad playing, previous opponents and in conference records don't factor that much.
