all due respect for UAB, they beat UNCC twice, got richmond, marquette, cincy and nearly beat Miss st on rd, but I like the home boys here, UW ... The Huskies are hotter than the Sun, losing only two games (at nc st and neutral vs Trees, in last couple months) ... at beginning of year I posted they would be team worth watching then I ate my words while they floundered ... I truly felt with all the local talent here in seattle staying home (for most part) they were ready to really improve ... Nate, Roy, Tre, Conroy, Jensen, allen--are really superb athletes, I watched them since junior high and coached against them in HS--add Bobby jones, and Rollins and U have a wealth of depth, quickness and shooting ... height they dont have ... but the coaches made good adjustments playing to strengths after poor start, spreading offense wider and pressing ... Nate Robinson and Brandon Roy are very talented; Nate is best athlete ever in state of washington, any local prep coach old or young says same thing--the kid tip dunked a missed FT from top of key as soph in HS, he led rainier beach to city crown in fball beating my HS for title for first time in 17 years--had a 95 yd kickoff return that was insane, crisscrossing field like a crazed electric fball player, earning State POY in both fball and hoops his senior year .. Tre simmons is incredible shooter, their bigs are as active as a four armed man in bed with salma hayek ... they have trailed by 10 or more in 14 of their 19 wins, they dont quit ... they also LOVE their coach Lorenzo Romar, never a bad thing fighting even harder for someone U truly care about (his own wife says they are his 12 sons, seeing romar has 3 girls and no boys in his own family) ... I am not a homer, I am not a big UW booster in any sport, just enjoy this team and feel they will pull this out on the jelly roll they are on ... Blazers will def. put up battle but UW seems to pull these things out ...
