woah, is Vandy living off of their rep or what? why is this Vandy -14? i don't see it. unlike TONYDAHORSE's suggestion that Drex/UVa may be more defensive, that is absolutely not the case here... both these teams can shoot and unless Valpo comes out throwin up bricks and gets down early, this game isn't gonna get out of hand. If Vandy goes dry for a few minutes Valpo could make this an exciting game.

am i totally wrong on this one?

Vandy definitely isn't living off of their rep. I think this is a very good squad that hasn?t been noticed by most in the media yet. As usual they are a good shooting team and Ogilvy is making an immediate impact to give them a big presence on the inside.

As for the line, does seem it is a bit high though. Valpo isn?t expected to be good this year. Looking at stats, they have shot extremely well but their competition would have to be considered below bottom-rung. Also factored in is obviously that Vandy is a tough club to play on their home court. Not sure if there is any injury news out there for Valpo. I didn?t see any on the normal site I check.

vandy did beat austin peay by 14 at home... okay, vandy made me $ last year and they've covered both games they've played so far and vegas seems to know the team pretty well. at home, probably not gonna see any missed FTs...

Also Vandy turned the ball over quite a bit in their first two games. A bit uncharacteristic for them imo.

Valpar don't seem to play a lot of d. and Vandy will. Ogilvy looks like the real deal. Can shoot and block shots and doesn't look like a freshman. Ross Neltner is a pretty damn good player but from what I've seen this year he might be the fifth man on the team. Alex Gordon is shooting over 60% from the field and he's the point guard. This year he is also switching back and forth between point guard and shooting guard with Beal who is shooting over 42%. Neither goes to the basket much so they don't shoot many fouls. Both guards have great assist to turnover ratios. Foster is a great shooter but still don't know how to go to the basket or hasn't shown it this year. I have no doubt that Vandy will at some time cover the spread but under Stallings they seem to have trouble keeping a double digit lead. Will go with Vandy small. Good luck
