How did you know it was gonna cash watching the second half. If depaul could have made one free throw in the last minute they would have won the game.

i thought the same thing. when they went down 18 or 22 whatever it was and stormed back to 7... that was the ball game. those vandy kids wanted it and ogilvy was playing so much better than he did in his brief stint in the first half. (this is not including the optimism that some of us ascribe to, while others choose to be negative and angry and hate on others when they lose)

it was a lucky win for vandy players, thats it. i was on the wrong side of the lucky clover on that one. either way ya gotta watch out for those roadies favored 2-6 cause it was not the blowout u would figure on paper.

it was lucky for depaul that ogilvy had to sit 10m! you go ahead with your ranked road faves 2-6... good luck. and i don't remember anyone saying "blowout" i had them winning by 10. had ogilvy not had to sit they'd have won by 10 in regulation. they won the last 25m 61-43 with him in. now lemonwedger did come in last night at half and say vandy was getting "smoked" when they went in at half down 12. obviously he has never been on the right side of a comeback. if you've ever paid att'n and know anything about college bball, if you don't have a 12-pt lead with under 2 minutes left, the game ain't over.

Momentum was all going Vandys way 2nd half and OT. Nailbiting moments but you felt the surge as it came on....

TONY, i think the naysayers and haters are feeding their negative-nancy need today, perfect situation. i think you and i are the same type of person... positive, optimistic and emotionally stable. you have to be able to keep your composure and not get emotional in this game. hope we're on the same side a lot this year.

tigers, easy man, I don't think nole was attacking you.

It could be said that Vandy was lucky DePaul wasn't smart enough to attack Ogilvy in the 2H. The guy made it the whole second half and OT without picking up a foul.

nole47 is just adding information to the forum, which is what the forum is intended. Take it for what it is worth, you may not agree with his opinion. Its expected that there are going to be disagreements.

Regardless, gl to you today and for the upcoming weekend.

i didn't think he was attacking, i was simply expressing my opinion regarding what he said and wishing him luck. should i not use exclamation points? :) i just try to add as much as i can to every conversation and have both sides represented as much as possible. i mean, maybe i don't like it when people come in my thread and post boogy-monster warnings of "trap games" and "too good to be true" and then seemingly bitch about the other team getting lucky when that can very easily be posted in the "depaul collapse!" or "vandy wtf" threads. MJ told some guy the other day not to go in someone's thread and tell them he faded them, what's the need for that? i, like tony, and most on here like to stay positive and be encouraging, not go around posting "oh you got lucky" when on any given night games are won and lost by .5 points and missed free throws. ya know? i just don't appreciate negativity. sorry if i sounded mean. :)

Tig3rs,

A win is a win. While the game was closer than I had expected, We were on the RIGHT side. Cashed some nice units didn't we? I guess if you were on the WRONG side, you would be entitled to justify what went wrong with your selection. For me, getting the cash is more important that proving I was right or wrong after the fact.

I agree though, a positive attitude is what matters most in defining an individuals character here. Its best not to go into other peoples threads and say they were lucky, or to criticize them when they lose. Even the best capper can't pick the right side every time. As long as we share information, exchange perspectives, and help each other gain insight into our selections, thats all thats important for the puposes of this thread.

No plays for me today, I hate the "slim pickens days" and will not force a play. Lets see what tomorrow holds. I may fade that 124 fellow as that seems to be a profitable angle..... GL tonight!!

tigers, no worries man. I simply thought nole was just trying to help out and add to the conversation. that other guy you referred to just came in a thread and said "fade". I wrote him that post if he disagrees with someone's pick, that is fine but post some support or methodology behind his reason. Just posting to fade someone is obviously unwarranted.

Again, no worries. You add to this forum as many of the others do. As for luck, its obvious the ball is going to bounce different ways on any given night and there are a dozen different ways for a team to cover, or not cover. Personally I never utter anything about "bad beats" or the such. I know I'll be on other side of them just as much.

i do believe it was the right side. and it would be every time. i got vandy at 3.0... if it got to +6 for DP i may have gone for a 3-pt middle (like the smallest middle you can go for) and i didn't totally disagree with some of the people who took depaul +5... and i didn't go around saying "i think they're gonna get blown out, you're wrong." anyways... good luck tony, see ya 'round.

tigers, though I'll dabble in many teams as of now, when the conference slate gets going, i'll have a lot more plays focussed on mid-west conferences. Big XII, Big Ten, MVC, Horizon. Going to DePaul games, I'll have some insight on some Big East plays as well. Basically wouldn't consider myself an expert in one particular conference (nor would I consider myself in an expert of anything really!).
