Shane,

I swear, I was reading that at lunch today and I really was astounded and a bit embarrassed about having somewhat defended him before.

I think he got a memo from Murdoch. Desperation.

you're counting your chickens before they are hatched, my friend....there are many examples of people people elected president that were trailing this late in the campaign...ie...reagan was trailing carter by 8 points.....bush was trailing gore at this time also....to name 2 examples...

remember it's not over until it's over....

No.

I actually lean towards spongy and yourself(an interesting duo) about not counting chickens.

I mean, who in the f*ck could ever think that this idiot would be re-elected in 2004?

2000? Sure. Florida, no Florida. Al Gore. Whatever. I could at least understand it.

But 2004? I mean, seriously?

So my point is that I never overestimate the intelligence of people in this country.

In 2004, the gay marriage amendment brought all the rednecks of southern Ohio to the polls. Karl Rove. That was the difference.

I don't agree with goofs like spongy that blame Diebold in Ohio in 2004. Or Katherine Harris down here in 2000 or the Supreme Court or hanging chads or whatever else in 2000.

The democrats were out-flanked in both elections. That's politics.

well i voted for gore in 2000..but switched to bush in 04 because i wanted to show my support for the pres. after 9/11....

matt...you sound like a few on this board by questioning people's intelligence because you don't agree with them...but it's funny because i know quite a few people who are questioning the intelligence of those who are voting for obama...
