Chan,

it didn't upset my lunch schedule, but perhaps a note of what we can expect would be in order?

That way, the easily offended have an out...........

PS.......I didn't open the 'cat' video on the other link, based on it's preamble, and the replies of others.

Chan,
I just think you posted along the lines of your other post as if it were humorous. Its not about hunting. It is set to some ridiculous music and this redneck is smiling an laughing. These things seem to be in an open prarie not someones back yard. I didnt see any comment from you like...Look at these ass holes...or anything like that. If you feel its funny its ok I just dont get how people can treat animals like that. What does where you will be during the Super Bowl have to do with anything???

well, the animal felt no pain; those were the most humane kills I have ever seen. What kind of respect would you like to teach him anyway? Prairie dogs are terrible pests and cause lots of damage. Would it respect the p. dog more to shoot him with a bb gun or perhaps a .22? Thanks.
Six five Ive had a few conversations in the past with you and thought you were a good guy. You cant really be this stupid can you???

It is well known that kids who enjoy torturing animals are very likely to grow up and abuse humans.

Gratuitous cruelty to any creature - even an insect - indicates a disturbed individual.

What next? Faces of Death?

ocelot,

When an individual does this, you are right........they tend to "up the ante" with more evil acts. The thing is, they are secretive about their actions.

These idiots worked in tandem. That is the most frightening part. Since they have no compunction about sharing their sickness, what do you think they will conjure up next?

We're not confusing the prarie dog tape with the cat torture are we?? The cat tape was deplorable and those individuals should be prosecuted. There's no excuse for that. However, I see nothing wrong with the prarie dog video. They are varmints and it is LEGAL to shoot them hence the term, varmints. These guys just chose to shoot them with a caliber so large it "blew them up" Whatever they shot them with, they're dead, right? .330 win mag or a .17, the result is the same, it's just a little more dramatic here. I'm a good guy, and I've had no problem with you in the past either, I don't see your point here, and I hope u didn't think I was posting the cat tape was ok.

agree about the torture. I think Ed Gein and Dahmer and that guy in Russia started out like that. To clarify, you aren't talking about the prarie dog shootings as torture or gratuitous cruelty, are you? Thanks.

...call me a redneck...call me southern...call me whatever you want, but I'm with 6/5 on this one. I watched both vids and the other was the beginnings of a serial murderer...this was some jackass trying to be funny. However, I have no problem with shooting varmits.... If it was a sensless killing, fawk him too, but farmers have to kill varmits all the time and most of the ones that I know kill them just as humanely (quick and painless) as possible. If you can't see the difference between the two threads, then I feel for you.... Get out of the city every once and a while.... :)

Nobody forced any of you guys to open up that clip. If there is a possibility that you might be offended by things on the internet then don't open videos without explanations. You can easily have waited until a few posters replied to tell if the contents were likely to make you shed some tears. Give me a break.

Im not offended I saw it. Im offended by the senseless killing of nature for our own amusement. These guys were CLEARLY doing this just for fun. IMO I think it is ridiculous and will come back to haunt some day. Taoist, Of course I can see the difference but can you see the simalarities. They are both senseless animal torture. :sadwave: I dont need to get out of the city. I grew up in the country, hunted my whole life. However blowing awy animals for target practice in my opinion is senseless and cruel especially when you do it set to music with a toothless smile on your face and post it on the internet. Thats all Im saying, I think these guys are diks.

Agent, I think I understand your point now. I honestly didn't even pay attention to the music, just watched the clip. I still disagree that it's torture or that's it's remotely similar to the cat vid.

For the record I am sorry if anyone was offended by my post. I put the thread up as there are many hunters here and I was not trying to be smug or humorous. I post a lot of material/info that may be of interest to some. As stated before, just cause I post it does not mean that I would do the same nor would it change anything that has happened or will happen regarding hunting now or in the future.

For the record I grew up on a farm where gophers and other varmints were hunted or trapped. I started out shooting very young and quit after one hunt because it didn't seem like sport to me to shoot rabbits, etc. Just didn't like it. That is who I am. I've never hunted since then and never will hunt. My relatives just went Deer hunting and I fail to see the difference if a tape of their hunt, ( got one Buck), was shown.

I now only have firearms as personal defense. If you doubt there are hunters here you can search for a thread posted a while, maybe years, back. Someone asked about weapons for personal defense. The thread looked like somthing outta Soldier of Fortune. Believe me, some ppl here can take care of themselves.

At any rate, as far as the SB goes- I thoufht you wanted to get your hands on me over the thread. I am by no means a tough guy or keyboard warrior. All I was saying is I'll be@ the SB party so I'm not hiding behind the Internet. How more responsible can I be? So far I've never got that upset over posts, but if someone does I'll try to rectify the situation. If I put ppl 'off' I'll pick up on that and promptly vacate the premises. I'm not here to antagonize.

In all fairness, I posted an opinion about Scott Petersen getting convicted of a heinous crime and was immediately rebuffed. Hey, I also did not convict him, but offered an opinion. Who am I to speculate on his actions/reactions? Who am I to judge? I thought this attitude would carry over as well. As usual, I thought wrong. No hard feelings and I apologize to all. I can see where some think I cross the line cause I posted an inappropriate pix a while back, but it was not meant the way it was taken. I was wrong about that and am sincere that it won't happen again. Feel free to flame, etc., cause I deserve it. Just saying that from time to time we all post w/out conveying the true intent- or at least I do.

Jack, please move this thread to the dumpster at your convenience.

P.S.- :grouphug: Group hug everybody...whoever is next to Eddie Haskell- Please watch your wallet! Heh, heh-i never get tired of that one.

Just a side bar for all of you guys defending this clip. Actually go to the web site.

This clip is from a video they are selling. This is not about hunting, or managing your land.......it is about killing, and glorifying it on tape. The first words we see across the screen are, "Maximum Carnage". That should tell you something from the start.

Do you need a bullit that completely destroys the target, sending it fifteen feet in the air?

Christ, these dicks even have "award patches" for kills of 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 yards!

These are not hunters, or sportsman, IMO, but rather sadistic fuks who get enjoyment out of watching a poor dumb animal get slaughtered. Labeling them 'varmints' does not make it right.

:yup :yup
Chan I never said anything about wanting to get my hands on you. I said the "hunters". Please continue to post as usual as you at least provoke thought and debate which isnt all bad. I just happen to disagree with this one and it sounds like you do too. Lets get back to beating the bookie.
