Yankees were 7 and 10 through 17 games to start last year. Ended April with 4 wins to have a winning month at 11 and 10.

They then proceeded to win 101 games in 2004. This years team is better and barring injuries will manage to do at least the same.

I hate the Yankees, but I wouldn't sweat a bit if I was them. They will end up with the best record in baseball again barring major injuries.

Personally I hope they never win another game, but same story different year.

as a long time yankee fan, i didn't like last year's team & i don't like this year's team.

george is making the same mistakes that he made in the 80's......buying expensive free agents & plugging them into vacant slots.

playing in ny takes a certain type of ballplayer & george thinks that by having an allstar or former allstar at each position means that they will be able to perform in ny.

money doesn't turn a player into the type of gritty ballplayer it takes to win.

imo the yanks don't have that many gritty players. at least as of now i haven't seen any.

right now....i like boston to repeat.
